Good morning TAN.  Guess who's butt hurts?

Back in the saddle again, with a good slow-freezing cold-ride yesterday.  Happy-happy Miss NRG.

Almost morning TAN!!!.   Been at work for 7 hours already and just checking in.  Have a great day, will hopefully check in later.  Doing a quick breakfast/lunch and headed back to the floor.  One of my employees told me it is supposed to snow again tonight.  I really hope that was a joke.

I really need to be working outdoors today.  It is beautiful.

We grilled steaks on the deck last night with baked (microwaved), fresh green beans, and arugula and spinach salad with Parmesan cheese.  I served it with a bottle of Italian red.  Simple and fast and excellent.

This may be the first spring/summer since I was 15 that I shall actually enjoy summer.  I started working in 1967.  Before that I rode bikes, played tennis and golf, swam, and read lots of books all summer.  I hope to pick up where I left off.

Off from work today, and have been running errands.

Dropped a bike frame off to get powder coated and then did a bunch of shopping for an anniversary dinner for a group I belong to.  It's just hot dogs and stuff, but still putting out food for about 100 people tonight.

Powder coated?  Porque?

I really need to clean my bikes.  Should've done it this weekend but decided to ride/run/swim and be lazy the rest of the time.

Crikey! 46 years of busting your tail.

I guess I'm halfway to that number.  I started working on a produce farm when I was 13.  Got paid $3.75 an hour for some of the hardest physical labor I would do except when in the field or in Iraq in the Marine Corps.

My first paycheck at 13, I got a snow cone, a dodgers hat, 2 Michael Jordan T-Shirts, and 2 rounds of mini golf.

My first Marine Corps Paycheck I used to buy my Bianchi that I still ride today.

Powder coating is painting, but it is a process where paint is dry powder that is sprayed onto a frame and adhered temporarily electrostatically, then it is baked/cured in an oven.  It gives a much tougher and more durable finish.  It is also the equivalent of like 4-6 coats of paint in one application.

Anyway, I found a place that will completely sandblast the frame and powder coat it for $150.  They're doing my crank arms for no additional charge.

Usually costs at $20 for someone to do your crank arm.

Wait.
