Well, when you consider no makeup, my crappy running clothes and the sweat/red face combo that is pretty much what ALL my race photos look like! Thanks for the compliment, though. Oh, BTW, your avatar doesn't really do you justice either. |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) BTW, that first photo of me was taken by my husband on our 10th anniversary. He took a lot of photos that weekend but this one is my (and his) favorite. BTW, yes my wedding ring is on the wrong hand but it keeps falling off my left hand because I've lost so much weight! |

LMAO Somehow I missed this post! I was looking back to see if you were the one that had stitches in her back and that is why you weren't swimming but who cares anymore...YOU HOMESCHOOL!!!! Toooooo awesome! My 9 yr old finished "4th grade" this year. Most of his work is 5th grade work but in Math he is an uber geek and he is doing 7th grade math. Okay, now...why are you not swimming????the stitches in the back would be me...and that is why I am not swimming...but I am still running (if that is what you call it) and biking. I am at 6.7% swim - - 45.7 bike and 74.6 run....but hoping that because I have stitches..that you will not make me take pictures in a swim suit!! I can get a doctors excuse! |

Wow, remind me not to get you upset! You might, um, bend the internet or something. I forgot to share this - I'm a red belt in Tae Kwon Do! Of course, my DH is a black belt and my little 9 yr old not only has a blue belt in TKD but he is also a green senior belt in karate. So, what does all that mean? TKD Belts: Black Red Blue Green Yellow White Karate belts Black Brown Green Yellow I'm almost a black belt (although I haven't been in TKD since I started training for my first marathon in 2004) and my son almost has two black belts! Oh...and my DH has a black belt in Kung Fu from when he was a little tike. ...WE ARE A KICK ARSE FAMILY!!! |

Champion 7546 Santa Cruz, California | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) dcrunningdiva - 2008-06-12 2:45 PM Well, my younger brother (31 yrs old - yes, I know...it's hard to believe I'm older than 29...)just came out of a successful surgery. They removed a 4 cm mass out of his kidney. It was stage 1 cancer. This cancer is one that can be caused by smoking. Guess who has been smoking all his adult (and part of his teen) life? Yep - my brother. I haven't shared this here because I don't know you guys but he has also had two back surgeries in the past month and now he has to have a tonsilectomy - of all things! Anyway - if you are a praying person can you please pray for my brother when you think about it? Thanks! Hi Tracy, |

Anyway - if you are a praying person can you please pray for my brother when you think about it? Thanks! Hi Tracy, WOW! I didn't know you were a cancer survivor! It is really odd - most of my life I have not known many people who had cancer but in the past 6 months I have known 3 really good friends and my brother. Two were female friends who now have breast cancer. It was so odd - they both knew each other and the one had said to the other "I want to walk with you through this" and a few months later she ended up getting the SAME type of cancer in the SAME stage. After their first surgeries they both had the SAME complication. It was sooooo crazy. She said she wanted to walk through it with my other friend but I don't really think she meant like this! Thanks for praying for my brother and having your mom add him to the prayer list. |
