Has anyone checked out the water temp after the cooler weekend? Currently at 67 degrees!!!

I'm planning on swimming Friday after I check-in - probably 2 or 3ish?

Aren't they cute?

We'd like to swim Friday as well.   Did you have a time frame in mind? 

I plan to swim on Friday around noon for 30 min. 

I'm down for Friday any time after 1 for a swim.

Im planning 30 min bike-20 min run and 15 min swim on Friday....Saturday plan is for total rest and staying off feet as much as possible

I will get into Madison sometime Friday afternoon.  I would change my Saturday ride/run to Friday depending on when you were going.

I'm game.  If someone sets a firm time I will be there.

Hey All....just remember when you swim in Monona there is boat traffic to contend with even after Labor Day. It's always best to swim early if you can and definitely stay closer to the Monona Terrace, far right of the ski jump.  My OWS coach is doing a Friday 6am swim for her athletes so you would at least have a kayak out there if you needed one.  Tons of people swim at that time of day.

I'm swimming tomorrow at 6am so can give everyone a temp check after that.  I swam in 64F this weekend in Minocqua and it was totally fine, altough not sure I would want to tread water in it for 10-15 minutes!

I'd love to get a swim in on Friday or Saturday.  We're getting in on Thursday night but I need to get my wetsuit from the bike guys.  I shipped it with my gear bag.

If I get to town in time I will be looking too, or else it will be listening on Sirius

Side note- cam someone keep me updated all day Sunday on how my fantasy team is doing? Thanks in advance   I do have Aaron Rodgers so the hometown crowd may give me some updates

That's sort of like last year the first time I told one of my docs I was doing the race, when I said the distances he said how many days do you have to finish that? LOL

X2 - Right On!  I'm glad I'm not the only one worried about my fantasy team.  I mean, the Ironman is great an all, but a guy's gotta have priorities.   No Packers on my team though.  I only cheer for varsity sports. 

My mom has been telling everyone that I will be doing "A Marathon" on Sunday.  And she was at the start of the run cheering for me when I did MOO last year (so one would think she'd know what an IM entails)!  So much for getting credit for the 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike.....

I get ya, but think I can top it. My Mom was over this weekend and asked how it WENT!... it was a HALF marathon, right?

my mom was talking to me a few weeks ago when i was prepping for a half IM.  I was mentioning getting in under 6 hours.  she says "are you telling me that this "thing" in September is going to take 12 HOURS?????".  Wow mom where have you been all year?

LOL!  Oh yeah, you got me beat by a mile (or at least 70.3)!

My coworker was asking me the other about the race this weekend "Do you stop and have lunch?"
"So do you have all weekend to do this ?" 

My mom "I know you can swim 2.4 miles, bike 112, but do you know how far that run is? that is what has me concerned for you "

Want to stop for lunch? That is good. :-)

I'll take a #1, large sized with a diet coke and no ice please!!!
