Hit the PT hard!  When I was in in January, I was doing at least a little bit every night.  Hopefully you will get better quick, quick, quick!!! I have to imagine with your training regime this will nearly kill you . . .

BTW, you are lucky with the small chest!!!

When Kel was in college, she did a polar bear swim with a friend while only wearing a dress made completely of clear saran wrap.

Tiny boobies may not make Shaun happy but they make training and racing much easier.

Shaun enjoys embarrassing me.

I was young and impressionable and thought that jumping into a frozen pond wearing only seran wrap was a good idea.

While it is my own fault, reading this thread today makes it very hard to concentrate and work.  Quite enjoyable though . . .

It is funny how much more open triathletes are than pretty much any other athletes.

Keyy - What this seran wrap constume a dare of some sort?  A lost bet? Originated from drinking games?

oh dear.

Kelly - why were your given muscle relaxers, be careful with them they loop me out big time and only mask symptoms.  did you see an ortho or neurosurgeon? what kind of antiinflamatory (strong motrin or steroidals)?

We thought it was a good idea and wanted out picture in the program for the next year's winter carnival.  We did get in the program.  I'll have to see if I can find the picture.

Motrin, no steroids.  Muscle relaxer because the inflammation has caused muscle tension and knots in the glute and hamstring.  Its all on the right side, pelvis based.

Unless you're in a sorority, we took (and kept) pictures of everything.  Thankfully Facebook started the year after I left college.

Wow, lots of interesting topics today.  I had a crappy horrible day at work so I didn't really get a chance to read any of the last couple of pages until now.  Funny.

Heading out to swim 4000 yards now and then more water running tonight.

Its absolutely gorgeous out today and I'm kind of bummed that both of my workouts are inside.

So I bought the Paleo for Athletes books.  It's really interesting.  I'm not sure I could do it.  I love beans, quinoa, oats, etc.  Not such a fan of dairy, so that wouldn't be a problem.  I'm sure the diet would give me tons of energy, but, sheesh, it seems like severe deprivation to me.  I would lose a lot of weight doing something like that, too, and I'm already on the lower end of my weight range.  People would start talking (I mean, more than they already are now...).

I have a 6 mile run scheduled for this morning and then a long swim tonight.  Some people from the Ohio forum are getting together in Cleveland on Sunday for an open water swim.  I think I may join them.  It ought to be FREEZING in Lake Erie.  Not sure how fun that will be!

feel better.  I hear you on the outside.  It is interval wednesday and I have 6x 3/2 intervals at 5k goal pace, which will be done on the treadmill at lunch.

BTW, a few members of my tri team are swiming in LIS on Monday morning if any intrepid souls wish to join in.  Google up will likel be sometime between 830 and 1030.  I will post exact time as it gets closer.

my diet includes lots of cheese, could never do paleo.  I like meat but could do vegetarian, never vegan, cheese is far to important in my life.

It also must be genetic, my wife's diet is about 80% cheese and both our kids love cheese.  We go through 2 bags of cheese sticks, 2 containers of baby bells, 1 pound of chedder and 1 pound of american cheese per week.   That's not to mention the "good stuff" which we eat in greater moderation.
