YOur childhood sounds like my husband's, his Dad was military. He ended up on Cape Cod in HS. I grew up in the house my father was born in. I moved a lot after college but have been pretty stable since having kids, just 1 big move from MN to RI since then, but I grew up in New England so it was really coming home.KOM - 2008-12-11 11:23 PM Yeah, that must be hard. It would be different if you could feel like you were putting down new roots rather than being in waiting mode. Did you grow up in NE? more or less, I lived in NE since I was a sophmore in HS I moved 9 times b4 I was 15, after that I stayed very similar - my dad wasn't in the military, but he worked for a large corporation, which at the time, was the next best thing - you got a new job or a promotion, you moved I'm a midwest girl through and through |

I guess if I finish in less than 3 hrs I'll be happy heck, if I finish at all, I'll be happy |

Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Okay, done reading. Lots of chatting about wine (sorry I missed it ) and food. Yummy! Walt: congrats on the house!!!! The show was great! We really enjoyed it. Alex LOVED American Girl (of course) and had such a hard time picking out just one thing (big surprise). I have to say that even being at Rockafeller Plaza and seeing the big ole tree and the Christmas Spectacular show....still no holiday spirit for me. I think it's offical. I'm depressed. |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Argh, I missed you guys by about 20 minutes! Oh well, good for normal people to sleep. It finally turned to SNOW here, but the rain has me all down. I was trying to enjoy it and get back into the snow thing, and then I drove to work. Grrr - none of the roads were plowed. I love my little car and it does really well in the snow, but seriously, I should NOT have been driving in two-plus inches of snow (more in some cases - I was snowplowing with my undercarriage!). But, fun thing is, I finally get to snowshoe run tomorrow (today, whatever - FRIDAY!). Yay! |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge So what's everyone's plans for the weekend? I'm gonna go spend a crapload of money that I don't have, but it'll be wicked fun! Speaking of, I gotta clean out the trunk... My glasses broke, and while I was supposed to get a new pair from a friend last year, for a variety of reasons that never happened. Now said friend doesn't have the money any more, so I'm stuck picking up the tab. Right before Christmas, of course, and before the new year's flex spending kicks in. ARGH! If they weren't so completely broken that I need them NOW, I would try to make them last and buy new ones on Jan 1, just so I could use my flex account. So I'm getting those, and a bunch of last minutes presents, cards, etc., plus a bunch of just household stuff that I've been putting off forever and finally need to bite the bullet and buy. Ugh. Oh well, hopefully the $20 holiday bonus will come. (rolling my eyes) |

I am totally blind (okay, not really but you get the picture) without my glasses. We spent a small fortune replacing them. Now we spend a small fortune on Cole's glasses. Why are little kid glasses soooo expensive? Bigger kid, not so much but for the little guys, yikes! |
