Last night I had to run, and I wanted to bike. So I thought I would run first, so I'd be on fresh legs since I haven't run much lately. After my run I'd go for a bike ride. I think I'm going to have to come up with a new plan. It was 80 and cloudy when I went out for my run. Hot, too hot, and it's only going to get hotter. I wanted to puke most of my run. I never made it out on my bike then.
Now I'm thinking I'll bike when I get home, the heat doesn't really bother me on my bike. When I get back I'll cool off a bit, drink some, then run later in the evening when it's a little cooler. I won't be on fresh legs, but I won't be baking in the heat either.
How's that sound for a plan? I say give it shot. Hope it works for you. I've tried it. Bike at 3-4, rest, run at 7 or 8 and find it's just really hard to get out the door no matter what that 2nd workout it. If I'm biking and running the same day it has to be split between morning and evening. And I'm not a morning (workout ) person! Good luck! |
