If I can get someone to swap weekends with me, I just might sign up for the 10K also.  Grandkids will be living in the Wash D.C. area by then.  That would give me two reasons to be up there that weekend.

Cool! I really like San Fran.

My layover is currently unknown...delayed...arggggg...hopefully on our way soon.

She stayed home from school today. She  spent the day with grandma. My husband sent me an email that he talked to her around lunchtime. She was going to try and eat some vegetable soup for lunch. All she had yesterday was some pretzel sticks, so I hope she could eat the soup.

I can tell by the setting of the sun that it is time for me to go. I'm not sure if I'll be back later or not. Milo and I are supposed to have a make up obedience class from the other week when we had ice, but I'm pretty tired and not sure we're going to make it. It's a very long boring drive and I wouldn't get home until 8:30ish.

Just in case you're ever driving in San Francisco, don't drive your car down the trolley lane. They don't like that very much. And trolley horns are really weird sounding. just sayin'.  

I'm trying to talk hubby into coming out that weekend. But it's right when the kids are starting school. Well, the girl will be starting high school, the boy will either be in school for a few weeks before that, or starting a new school at the same time as well. both of those things make me want to run away to Lake Lure even more. LOL.  

Well, it looks like I'm all caught up on the posts. And here alone again. Melindy usually keeps me company late at night, but I think she has better things to do right now.

 

The basement is drying nicely right now. And things are moving slowly through the insurance. The asbestos testing came back negative, so on Monday they will be coming to take out the small amount of drywall and pull the rest of the carpet. They were going to come tomorrow, but I can't get our electronics and valuables out of harms way myself, so I postponed until Monday so I can get some muscle in here over the weekend. The cleanup crew will move the bulk of the stuff around, I just need to get a few things out of ther way first. I can't decide whether or not this injury is a blessing in disguise right now.

Due to my 4 day weekend, and being home last evening with my still not feeling well daughter I am now 12/20 in yoga. 2 sessions a day for the rest of the month and no azzatar for me!!!

Bill! If you're around today, where can I price bike parts? I'm trying to decide if I should get a compact crank or not. Where I live I can ride rollers and flat, or hills hills hills! I'm not good at hills. I know the only way to get better is to ride them more, I'm just debating in my head if the compact crank would be worth it for me or not.

Amy, I was wondering how the basement was coming along. Sounds like you are on the  road to recovery.

You should come to Lake Lure. It would be educationional!!!!! The kids will miss days because of snow or being sick. This is a WAY better reason to miss school!

Ann, I am starting my bike education now. What is a compact crank and why would it help on hills?

well old man winter messed with my plan this week.  

im heading to the Y later to get in a 2-fer.  a 30 min spin and 1100 swim.

i'll leave the 2nd run of the week for tomorrow.

then i can still get a 2nd swim in during my down shifts when i work in Aquatics on Saturday.



i went in for my 2nd interview yesturday.  excited about the opportunities there.  they are planning on making a formal offer next week sometime.  they eed to discuss me w the higher up, i may interview with him as well though it might not be necessary, but as far as having the positions its pretty much a done deal.

then its just a matter of gradually extricating myself from agency #1 and integrating into agency #2....

THEN NO MORE TRANSITIONS FOR LIKE 100 YEARS THANK YOU VERY MUCH

im really looking forward to laying down some 'roots' and working somewhere long term.  

ive had enough transition in my life in the past year to fill TWO lifetimes.

not that im complaining.  i realize in todays job market to have ONE job offer let alone several is AMAZING.  so i'll be sure to count my blessings while im working through.

its ALL good.
