So been trying to get outside for a run...but it snowed...and its cold and I can't find my darn winter running layers....I think my brother has them hiding somewhere...I haven't seen them since last winter...Not with my clothes...my mom's clothes....my dad's clothes...so hmmm...what else does that leave?

Might have some lunch and then hit up the gym to use the indoor track and treadmills for this weeks 10km...need to get back into the running plan. Will prob do a bike too after.

We are having this "Top Condition Mission" thing for school for this month. I am determined to get my workouts in to have the best chance of winning this year. Last year I was 2nd overall. Boooooo. I beat all the boys but one classmate who plays varsity tennis beat me. I was kinda slacking off last Jan a bit...so hopefully I will get this one! Argggg! I'm debating doing an aquathon next weekend since I'm not on call. We will see. Never done one before.

Melissa! Hi!!

Robin--sorry about the funerals. They are not something most people would choose to go to, even if the person being honored was 99, but especially not when the person is young.

Ann--busy lady! Good job getting the kids out there and keeping them active no matter where you are.

Kendra/Jules-people watching can be fun!

And yes, healthcare gets weird and busy when there's a full moon. Especially the psych cases.

Hubby's eye surgery went well (have I been here since he had it done? I can't remember). He has perfect vision now, but he's not used to being able to see so easily, and feel like he has to put everything out at arm's length to be able to focus on it. The ne ortho doc offered to give me steroid injections in my shoulder to see if it would help. He also offered an MRI with arthrogram (injecting the dye into the jointso they can see the structure better). I opted for the MRI, but now I'm having second thoughts. The doc doesn't think I have a rotator cuff tear, either, probably tendonitis and muscle imbalances, but he did see value in the reassurance that I can get from the MRI regardless of what it shows. They haven't called me to schedule the MRI yet. Which is ok because now I'm second guessing myself and migt play the wait and see game after all. What would you guys do? I'm in some degree of pain daily, and it interferes with what I do on a daily basis. I find myself telling hubby/kids I can't do things because of my shoulder. It hurts when I run. But I can do so many things, really. I can do puships and reach for things, and dress myself easily (all things I couldn't do 11 months ago).

Good morning Ghoulies. It's a holiday for me and the kiddos. We are going to grandma's to make vegetable soup. After that we are going to the college to play in the pool, and play some basketball. Then we will crash for awhile before going to Jiu Jitsu tonight. Have a good day everyone.

Amy ~ sorry you are in the pain you are in and I see no harm in having the MRI ~ I have had them and if nothing else it will give you "some" peace of mind. I do hope that they can pinpoint it and be able to get some resolve to this pain...

afternoon ghoulies

just called in sick so I too am taking a holiday

my husband and I are going on a bike ride

we just got back from taking the u haul truck back after moving my daughter into Marin area...such a cute house! lots of stairs (40 to be exact to the front door and another 20 if you were going to the master along the outdoor stairs) and after moving two households furniture and boxes/clothes....in I WAS POOPED!

husband I drove the truck back to our house, grabbed pot pie and I was in bed no later then 8:30 ~ SHAMEFUL...but at my age I need ALL the beauty rest help I can get!!!

this morning we took the truck back and then I made breakfast: poached eggs.....I learned how to make them when placing the eggs directly in hot water instead of using the little metal cups. I was amazed how yummy ~ and much healthier since you are not putting them in oil or butter. My new favorite breakfast!

like Ann I will probably take a nap after my bike ride....and then I  will probably go sit on the couch ~ unlike Ann who will being that good mama she is and taxing her midgets about!

have a great Martin Luther King Day Ghoulies

3.5 weeks more or less. Its not that bad...I was just cranky today and having some issues keeping the counter transference at bay...lol... just like "come on now....try to do something to help yourself!!!" Got in a "arguement" with a patient who was trying to get my preceptor to give her medicinal marjuana....ya...no dice. Seeing how she has paranoid subtype of a psychotic disorder NOS....marjuana...not. going. to. help...sorry...
