I'm happy that you're gonna make it to the race Lisa!

I have a fun Saturday planned playing Lumberjack.

We're clearing out a parcel for a charity that sets up micro-businesses to support the homeless (Mobile Loaves and Fishes).

I sent this around to all the guys who signed up with me:
http://youtu.be/5zey8567bcg

I cut down trees, I skip and jump.

It's gonna be a good time.

I put on women's clothing, and hang around in bars..

Like my dear ole grand ma-mar!!

Wussed out on my run last night, it was just too late by the time I got off the bike. So I enjoyed doing it today on an almost, kinda, nearly sunny day with temps above 30.  Debating whether to go to the pool or to do another (short) bike ride and then the night is dinner and board games at my brother's house with the family.

It is 6:30 and, looking west, the sun is not quite down yet.  The good news is that tomorrow the sun will be noticeably even higher in the sky.  I love these days halfway between the solstices.  The fire is in the fireplace.  The bike ride is in the log book.  Garrison Keillor is on the radio.

Red snapper with banana and kiwi and lemon white sauce is in preparation in the kitchen.  We are trying to get back to a night at Emil's in Lynchburg, VA when JWKMH ordered a simply magical entree.  We periodically try to figure out how that dish was done.  We have had some good food in the search but never quite duplicated the sauce.  It is a quest.

Like! Sounds very different than Saturday nights when we were 20, but every bit as enjoyable.

That was some serious fun, but it was as much exertion as an Oly easily.

We cleared ~2 acres of nasty stuff and about 100 oak trees and Cedar trees. They're using the oaks to make planters/gardens for the people who will live there (homeless, but they'll get trailers, park them out there, the guys live in there, work, sell the goods 100% free of overhead).

Now I'm off to dress up like a girly and dance around in bars...

Sounds awesome.  One of the best meals I've ever enjoyed was red snapped and breaded/fried banana slices.

It is the morning after the night before.  The snapper turned out very nicely.  We debated adding a bit of sugar to the sauce and decided against it.  It was a good call.  The bananas and kiwi were sweet enough on their own.   We served it with strawberry on arugula salad, some steamed yellow squash, and brown rice.  We had some Fat Bastard chardonnay, very simple stuff.  We ended the night sitting by the fire with a brandy Alexander listening to Robert Plant and Emily Lou Harris on the CD.  It is amazing that I remember it all.

Looks gorgeous out over the water, this morning.  I think I will ride again today.  I need to build up some time in the saddle for a 50 mile ride I am doing with friends in April.  I rarely ride more than a hour.  I need to toughen up the butt.

Quote of the Day (for me, thus far): There is not enough coffee, nor middle fingers, for this Monday.

I like to initiate a vote that we just skip ahead to Tuesday, immediately.

It didn't work. Chico is sleeping and not interested in war.
