I am tired, sore and hungry! How are you boys?

Well fed, rested, and refreshed... SNERK, not quite.

What do you guys have planned for this weekend?

My rowing club is doing a learn to row camp this weekend so I will be helping teach people to row. I also have tickets to see Kodo, they play Japanese drums.

You should tell them a blatantly false story about the origins of rowing forcing them to research it later... Like "you know the first rowers were on land. They discovered a 'row car' in Ancient Egypt."

We just make sure to tell them rowing is the only sport that started out as a corporal punishment.

On my second glass of Bourbon and doing fine! Flash me your news please! Go ahead: make my day!

If it's my news you want me to flash, you're slipping!

We went to Market House for supper after getting back to Oak Ridge.  It was really good.  Market House was started by a couple of local guys who thought they had a better idea for a restaurant.  It is better food than a meat and two and less butter and salt than a conventional grill or bistro.  They buy most meat and produce locally.  They have a menu but really you order from the daily specials.  J and I ordered an appetizer (stuffed peppers), a salad (Caesar), an entree (beef stir fry) and a couple of side vegetables (black beans, collard greens, and cheese grits) and shared it all.   It was great food and healthy.  We had a lot to bring home for tomorrow.

The clientele was just the neighborhood folks, chatting and having a beer or glass of wine.  One of the owners (who still looks like a high school kid) was sitting at the bar.  He was checking the food as it came out.  He came by and remembered Janice as a teacher.  J and I were so much more relaxed in OR than in Cleveland helping her mother or in Atlanta helping G3.

Tonight we wash clothes.  Tomorrow we head to Atlanta.
