Look at what my mom made me to keep me warm this winter! Its Hawk colors, of course... do you think she loves me?

It's gorgeous. I am envious. (Why do you need to stay warm in Cali?)
I like the way the bike is next to the bed.

Workout with my wife...INSIDE...(no not cheesecake)......Mostly honey-do list stuff INSIDE, and watching my son perform in the high school play 'James and the Giant Peach.'

I'm gonna miss this thread...

I wouldnt be surprised to find it lives on forever... I dont think anyone here wants to leave it....

well, we don't actually HAVE to leave it. No one has come around with whips and threatened to kick us out. (Recurring theme of the night: whips....)

Very true.. maybe we could just camp out here forever?

I vote that we keep the thread going "forever"!

Thanks for the all the notes Beth.  I surely have been lost the past couple of days.  It's real busy here at work.  My meeting went okay, but sure am worried about the snow.  THe mtn. looked real bad today, I almost wanted to cry.

What an emotional day, my last with the Nibbs, the mtn. looks sad with no snow, and well.... I'm a woman I deserve the right to be emotional.

Tomorrow's my 4 yr olds first day of ski lessons and it's going to be cold, so I gotta go get him a midlayer for b/t his thermals and coat.  Saw some Spyder sweaters with spiders on them, thought I'd surprise him.

I'll see you guys in the swim challenge.  Decided on 6 hrs, thought it'd be challenging but doable.

Later

Hey Heather, just curious...which mountain?  I've skied Alta and Brighton...

Mornin' Sal,

My meeting was up at the 'Bird (Snowbird that is - next to Alta).  They only had two chairs running with a few runs.  Today,my little one is at Brighton.  That's going to be our resort of choice this year.  8 wks of lessons for the little one, one clinic for mom (yeah - hookie from work every Thur), and 15 days of skiing for mom and dad to share.  I'm excited!!

There's snow on the ground this morning.  Haven't checked mtn report yet.

Brighton, huh?  You don't by chance have a friend that used to teach at Brighton, wife's a teacher and they just moved back to MN in August?

Yep...There are actually 2 series - there are a bunch books that follow Ender (after Enders_Game)...and then there is a parallel story that takes one character from Battle School and follows him, and this series has a bunch of books (starting with Enders_Shadow).

I heart Orson Scott Card books.

Morning Kristen!  Just read 'Red Prophet' last month.  Well, listened to the CD.  Enjoyed it.  Apparently there's a sequel?

We are such geeks.  Talking about sci-fi books at 7 in the morning.  Aren't you glad this thread is still around?

EDIT: I'll have to check out Ender's Shadow, so my kids can read it.

This guy is a MN native (though I can't remember which town)  first name is Patrick (still a little skeptical about posting too much about someone else online ) wife's name is Saundra.  They were out here for about three years before moving back to MN.  He's become a stay at home dad teaching spin classes and personal training.  Saundra is back teaching middle school.  She really wanted to move back to be near family as she is pregnant with their second child.

Morning Heather!  (I knew this thread would survive).  O.K., I'm jealous.

I know a lot of people from Utah here.  Throw out some names.  It's a small world (although MN is a BIG, cold state).

Ring a bell?

Nope.  Didn't hit the bell on that one, but congrats on the snow.  What's the base like right now?
