Artemis - 2010-08-04 12:07 AM In other news, I woke up this morning with no voice and a massive sore throat.  Could it be caused my using my inhaler a lot more often recently?

Awww Jen! I hope you feel better soon... you dont seem to have had a good run recently!

Throat is doing much better.  I was fine until I ate the peanut stuff.  Now my mouth is tingly.  Took a bunch of Benadryl so I'm guessing I'm be sleepy soon.

hmmm at least if you sleep your body might have time to kill off whatever it is!

Only downside is that Jonathan is on a trip with his parents for his fathers birthday.  There is no one to snuggle with.

But I will take down my coziest blanket and a few pillows so I can get nice and comfy.

Kitties are way less work.  They are easier to leave and get home late to.

I've always been more of a dog person, myself. We have 4 of them at the moment (yeah, we're the creepy dog people). J got me a pup for my birthday this year - total surprise - she had been trying to get the dog for 7 months and I was completely oblivious.

They are good for cuddling though...

I just ate a Snickers ice cream bar and my mouth feels strange.  I really don't want to be allergic to peanuts.

Jealous! (not of the tingly mouth though, but that's what you get for thinking you can beat me - muahahaha!)

I've had the tingly happen a few times and I've been in denial about it.  I really don't want to be allergic to peanuts.  But, that's not a good attitude, so I'm going to get allergy tested again.

So it turns out that Jonathan doesn't like the movie phantom of the opera...but not for the reason I assumed.

he has seen it live as a musical and the movie doesn't compare...

Jonathan had a talk with me last night...he is concerned that I am sliding into a bad place.

I am going to make a better effort today.  Not terribly excited about it, but it is time that I got out of the house and took care of some things.

It can be frustrating for SOs to deal with.  I know it drives my husband crazy.  Try to get out and do one thing productive today.  I think that will help.

Artemis - 2010-08-03 9:12 AM I hang out on a knitting forum too and am in an arguement about wearing helmets.  People are trying to convince me it's not necessary and may cause more damage.  Apparently, there's no "proof" that helmets help in a crash.  It's silly.
OMG.  Wear the helmet.  I'd rather be safe than sorry.  And after losing a friend in HS to a bike accident and head injury, I will wear a helmet.

Is a peanut allergy one that can develop later in life?  I always heard about people being allergic from the get go with this one, but then again, I don't pay that much attention.

x3 getting out and do something helps but it can be really hard for people to get what you are going through if they havent been there themselves.

And the thing with other halves is they really do want to help you and support you and see you happy... its so hard to see someone you care about unhappy and seemingly a bit lost/stuck...
