cottoneyes - 2010-10-08 12:52 AM Maybe we should get to page 85, start the second thread and do another 40 pages and see if they notice.

Then they'll think their ahead of us but we'll have in fact lapped them

THAT would have been amazing. I don't think it would have been possible with only 3 or 4 people online (and some at work for that matter).

We are not stupid people!!!!

Ghoulies are not a stupid people. Damn Team BT...

(Don't tell Bill or the other Ghoulies but the lapping happens tonight.) Shhh.

rh8463 - 2010-10-08 4:20 PM My bed time wish will be for it to STOP RAINING! I have become such a fair weather runner after moving here. Living in the UK I would run in the rain 75% of the time but in Australia, the slightest hint of rain and I find an excuse to do something else instead...

I just bought a treadmill due to the recent weather

I have a gym membership and its only a 5min walk from me, plus theres mt indoors and so on....
To be honest I usually use the rain as an excuse to go to the gym and do a fun and girly aerobics class of some sort - they are my exercising guilty pleasure.

I can think of lots worse forms of guilty pleasures

I know, as I wrote that I was wondering why on earth it makes me feel guilty! I think its because I might be laughed at by the guys at mt and it wouldn't go with my tough girl image, lol.

Just kick their azzes then if they do laugh at you. Then LAUGH!!!

Good plan!

Also, I'd love to see them try something like step. There are a few guys who can master it but mostly its hilarious when they try the class, I don't think they have the coordination gene that most women have or something....

This is hilarious...  I can't even get my DH to go to an occasional splin class with me over the winter.  It's too girly for him...  I'd die to see him try Yoga.  Wink

I would love a treadmil and a spinner in my basement. I know that I should use my bike on a trainer for indoor training, but I don't yet own a proper bike or a trainer and I read that many trainers are crap compared to read outdoor cycling. At least with a spinner I would have proper control over the resistance and be able to get a hard workout. Any thoughts?

I have a trainer that is pretty crummy...as well as rollers that I am askeerd to use (bad fall from them last winter).  I hear the KurtKinetic (think that's the brand) is the boom diggity trainer though and worth the $$

I have this trainer - actually we have a his and her pair of this trainer - and love it.  Not as great as riding outside, because I definitely need the balancing and hills practice, but I rode mine lot last winter and really noticed the difference when I got back outside in the spring.  I need SOMETHING to ride when we're buried in snow for months...  It's really easy to use too.  We waited for a great deal on our first one and then bought the second one off of Craigslist.

I wouldn't even try a Yoga class or step class without working on it for a long time with SO at home, getting chicked by a whole room full of people....nope, no thanks.  would not work well for the ego....oh yeah and it's far too girly!!

Well, the ears still hurt today, but I know ears are slow to heal...  But the sun is finally SHINING!  So, I will just have to get outside today and get my run in.  I can't let myself get any farther behind.  And I want SUNSHINE!!!

Yeah, I don't get either day off either.  It was just so quiet!!  My kids have off on Monday, though, so I'm glad to have my parents visiting for the weekend and that they want to babysit.

So, work is interesting today...  We've had out power going on and off.  Apparently a squirrel tried to make a nest in a generator...  he didn't make it through the ordeal...  and the power company is having trouble getting the power up and stabalized throughout the area.  UNfortunately, my section of the building is backed up by a generator.  Otherwise, I'd have a great excuse to get my sunny run in now!
