Not done wrapping yet. Last night I took Milo to the vet's to get weighed. Then ran my son to a friends house to drop off a Christmas gift he had gotten for him. When we got home I made us dinner, then did some laundry. My husband told me he would take the kids somewhere or find someplace for them to go so I can wrap tonight.

Good plan. He should take them shopping so they can tell him what to get you!

He doesn't shop for me. I bought myself Guitar Hero 5 and gave it to him to wrap up for me. I got him a pair of snow gloves that I gave him last weekend to wear Christmas caroling. The adults take the kids caroling on horseback. They sing for the people that let us ride on their property. He didn't have warm gloves to wear, someone ate his, so I got him a new pair.

Two things. 1) He can learn! and
2) that sounds amazing- caroling on horseback.

1) it's not a question of can he or can't he, he just doesn't want to.

2) We've done the caroling for years. It used to be adults, but now the kids like to go so the adults ride the horses over to the farthest house and someone drives the kids over. Then the adults walk back with the horses and kids. They have candles, they sing, the kids love it, so do the people who they sing for.

I got nothing on number 1 but number 2 sounds fantastic!

Christmas here has become a little weird for the last couple of years. The DHs family, esp his brothers family all used to show up here for a couple of days- four of them. Family strife means that only his brother comes now for a tense day before Christmas. The DHs kids, well the girl is in Boulder now and the son will be here but will be pining for his girlfriend. They couldn't figure out how to go to her parents and here at the same time. Neither wanted to compromise. So what used to be a houseful is going to be three of us. We invited a few folks for Christmas eve dinner but two of them got a better offer, one will show and two others we have no idea. Who knows how it is going to go.

Christmas plans are changing in my neck of the woods right now. My family was going to come to my house on Sunday afternoon for a big lunch and gifts. Because there is a chance we could get significant snow, or at least where my sister lives they could get snow, it looks like we are doing Christmas on the 24th at 1:00. I'm trying to coordinate with everyone now.

I have a chat program on my work computer. I have to say it is really annoying when people only chat with you when they want something. It's not even they want something that has to do with work. One guy, that I used to work with, will start up a conversation then after a few minutes ask me if my husband can get him a Mac from the college. He used to be able to bring things home from the college instead of them getting thrown out, but he can't do it anymore. I keep telling this guy that my husband can't get him a computer, but he keeps bugging me.

Another guy wants to hunt on our farm. He has been bugging me today about getting permission to hunt on the farm. He wants me to ask the neighbor lady if he can hunt there, too. I'll introduce him to her, but he has to get his own permission.

Hi Ghoulies - I'm getting a Nook for Christmas.  It is charging under the tree right now.

(Well really it is a combination gift from a gift card when I left my old branch)
