Did someone say chlorine?

LOLOL

chlorine, not cheesecake

Yeah, Mila was trying to put the kabosh on any cheesecake promotion...I'm sure she'll lay down the law on chlorine soon...

LOL - I saw that, I was laughing pretty hard - I think it's essential to have someone "advocating the benefits of cheesecake consumption!"

Yep, I'm with you on this one Sal!

progress is being made - the mall opened today - except of course for the store that it actually happened in

lots of evidence of community support for the families of the victims - the whole thing is kind of surreal

Surreal is a good word.  I know after the bridge collapse up here, we made lots of phone calls to friends we knew worked downtown.  Everyone we knew was o.k., but frequently drove across that bridge on a daily basis.  You really don't realize the impact until the shock is over...

exactly - I didn't know any of the victims, but do know some folks that were at the mall and a couple that were in the store when it happened.

one of my youngest's class mates was there - 7th grade - I can't even imagine what a life long impact that will have

Sadly, it's not an uncommon thing anymore...there are some very troubled kids in the world...

Well, on that sad note, I can hardly keep my eyes open...I'll be offline tomorrow, but should be able to check in on Monday...

Have a great rest of the weekend Beth!!!

Mornin' Nibbs... Looks like I'm all by my lonesome here this mornin'.  Thought I'd get online and do a little shopping and I ended up here.

Hope everyone's doing fine... Looks like there's plenty of injuries going around right now, hope it's not contagious.

Had 1st day of  yth b-ball yesterday.  Went okay, other than ref's not showing up, showing up at the wrong schools, or site supervisors wanting to ref instead of watching the school.  Also of course, had parents and players showing up without jerseys or at the wrong school or time.  Overall, by the end of my ten hour day, I felt okay about it.  Will just have  a few scheduling kinks to figure out with the ref's.  (no shows will be removed from schedules - can't afford to fire them at this point, I need ref's... well, except for that one - she really ticked me off)

Came home had a glass of wine and decorated the tree with the boys.  Lots of snow over the past couple of days so I think after church today we'll build a snowman or fort.

Well, better get shopping.

Good morning to everyone!  Geez, it's been over a week since I last checked in, I've been so busy with my training and putting together my yearly plan for Ironman Arizona.  And with the holiday coming up, Patti and I have been busy shopping for the grandchildren.  I love playing with buying toys for the little kids!  We went to a Christmas party yesterday and had a great time.

Just wanted to stop in and say happy Sunday to everyone, and hope you are all doing well.  I'll leave with a quick shot of "Nail Color Of The Weekend!"

Morning Heather!

Nah, don't think the injuires are contagious, for the most part (i think with the exception of Cat's shoulder) they are the same things that have been bothering for months

Sounds like you had a long day yesterday - that must really take a lot of  organization

have fun building the snowman or fort, you'll have to let us know which one you do!

Hi Max!  thanks for stopping by

I acutally laughed out loud when I read your post - I seriously looked at my nails this morning, thinking how desparately they needed to be done, and then I thought to myself, 'I wonder what color Max is wearing'

LOL!

ROFL Beth!  I hate to think that I might be a fashion trend setter here.  Not evident in the photo is the bit of "holiday sparkle" to the nail color.  And they were painted before applying the "press ons" which unfortunately have to come off late this evening.  The macho guys at the welding shop would never understand.

The down side is that I need "mechanical assistance" like the blade of a knife to open a pull tab on a can of diet coke.

Treat yourself to a day at the nail salon...it'll do wonders for your outlook!
