Since I've been spending a lot of time reading race reports and watching videos to visualize the race here's a few good ones on youtube (I think we've shared some of these before)...

Yesterday I had the lane to myself for the last half of my swim, but that was a total anomoly!  My pool is the only 50 meter pool in Manhattan, and honestly it's probably the nicest (and cleanest) one in the city.  So, there's always sharing.  Tues and Thurs mornings the full pool is open and there's usually 5-6 people in a lane and Wed it's 25m and 2-3 in a lane.  I don't mind sharing, except when people get in a lane they don't belong in...ie.  too fast/slow.  And all the lanes are cleary marked slow, medium fast.  There's a guy (we'll call him gold cap guy) who's been in my lane (the medium lane) the past few days who really belongs in the fast lane.  Since he cleary has no plan on moving over I decided to start using him to my advantage today, and drafting him.  Take that gold cap guy!

I'm even way more excited now!!!!!  When I reigstered I was really, really hoping Andy Potts & Chrissie Wellington were going to be racing here again.  YAY!!

That'll be quite a race, more drama to watch Please tell me you're pulling for Potts?!?!?! I'm not a huge Macca fan, he's actually going to be at NOLA as well.

I like them both, nothing against Macca.  I'd say that I'm pulling for Potts bc I want to see him defend his title.  I just learned that Potts is originally from NJ (my home state)...plus points for him.  And, for the ladies I'm hands down pulling for Chrissie....she's my fav!

Andy Potts all the way... All-American gonna kick some Aussie A!  First Timberman then Kona...dirty B's!

I can't wait to race amongst (get totally smoked) by some pros... All my races so far, haven't had that type of attendees.  And to just think that the local guys here that win everything, aren't even fast enough to compete....that's what is frickin' aw-inspiring!

I am gettin' totally amped up for your race Eric!  The vid's... the weather outside today...cleared up nice... knowing a big race is hours away... I am a fein for that!   Have fun, just have fun at your really fast pace! lol!

We start in like, a million waves so I'm hoping to see him finish before my wave starts.   *swoon* Tri boys <3 

So I've never had a reason to post a pic of my bike before but since the wheels on it are 2x more expensive than the bike itself I figured why not They ride really nice, bad news is the power output seems to be ~50-60W lower than my old wheels so I was conflicted on whether to use them or not.  I decided since it's supposed to be windy the disc should really help so I just plan on holding 190-200W on the new powertap and hopefully paying attention to that and closely to my legs I'll be ok...

Just make sure you kick those guys that are swooning over you to the curb, ie Jim, Jack, Jose...

It's hard.  They're just such charmers.  Especially Jose.  He really brings out my wild side.  I find myself trying to say no to him, but I really mean yes   He has a cousin that goes by the nickname "Patron"....don't even get me started on him.

Ahh you and your lil' sis have such a way with putting things!  Very funny!  Speaking of Patron... I have one of his "play cousins" in my cabinet... it's a creme d'tequila!  Talk about smooth...that Don Jaun can flat put it on the ladies!  I like picking up his sloppy seconds!

Man.... the bike porn!  Seriously, that looks like a winning ride to me...or at least a Clearwater Qualifying ride!  Love the sound of a disc in the morning! swoosh-swoosh!

Training plans for the weekend?  Racing? (besides Eric of course)

For moi... Tonight... an easy 1 hr trainer ride in front of the TV.... follwed by a beer!

Sunday... a long swim (3500-4000m's) and long run (10 miles)!  Followed by a few more beers!

I will trainer tonight for about 1:15 then Saturday I will run, yes folks I said run. I havent run in 4 weeks and the calf is feeling good. It will be a slow one but non theless it will be a run. The long outside ride on Sunday.

How exciting....you're running again!!  Hooray   Good luck and hope that calf stays strong for you!

I don't necessarily know that I'll be crushing anything....except maybe for a few post-race beers   I've never done a 10-miler, so it'll be a PR no matter what happens.  I don't really excpet to be all that speedy, so I looking at it more as a training run and just planning to have fun, check out the cherry blossoms & enjoy some spring-ish weather.
