There should be more sponsors for the old slow people. I'm just sayin'.

That is very cool Ann about the Brooks tester. Those are the shoes I wear. Good job! Free stuff is always very very good.

I wear Brooks too!

Ghoulie Girls Do Brooks!

So why did you choose Brooks?  I'm thinking I need to find an alternative to my Saucony's.  They're great for runs up to 8-9 miles but I'm not loving them on the longer runs.  They start to rub on my right foot where I have a slightly protruding navicular bone.  In fact, was thinking about a LRS visit later today.

Kim I have a protruding bone as well - my five fingers don't bother it

Never?????

Nice catch - I thought I covered it up but you busted me - LOL

Why are you trying to cover it? Melindy has spent the past several weeks trying to uncover it!

I've been trying to uncover someone else...

Bill's uncovering is purely for punishment...and not good punishment.

Speaking of Neal, where has he been all day?

I came up with something...but I'm not going to say it. Haha.

Hi guys, bye guys. I am having another lovely morning with my stubborn son. I think we are on the right track, and he might actually make it to school for a couple hours today. Ugh. I will try to check back in later to see what shenanigans you all are up to.

Thirded!  Not only do spectators have more time to read my trisuit as I go by, I even come with more space on my body, particularly my belly, for their logo.

kcarroll - 2010-08-10 12:19 PM Bill, couldn't resist earlier re five fingers.  I have given some thought to the vibrams.  Unfortunately, I'm too far into marathon training to try those for long runs.  I am thinking about giving them a try next spring.  Nervous though.  I'm more or less keeping the plantar fasciitis under control with orthotics, never going barefoot etc.

Kim - that was all I was talking about - I didn't mean the shoes one bit - just so you know!

You could use flats for a while also to help the transition - but I would not do that in the middle of your program - wait till you rock the MCM then switch around during recovery!

Bill, you are The Most.  The man who sets himself up deliberately for the entertainment of the ensuing carnage!

No, I'm not changing to flats or vibrams this year.  Just need to try a few new shoes on.  The problem is it isn't an issue until I get to 10+ miles.  Doubt they'll let me test drive shoes for that many miles.

I had the same issue with bike shoes.  I just got some fancy Specialized S-Works shoes that are awesome.  I think Andy wears them too.

Hi there Amy. Maybe we need to get some womens wear sponsors for the back of packers.
Now that I think of it, the more body types they have represented and the more "speeds'" wearing their logo, the more potential customers they have. It would be a win win situation!

Ok Ghouls, gotta take off for a bit.  Be gentle with Shawn until he gets used to us, although I'm getting the idea that he is going to be able to handle it just fine.

Oh boy - I had a feeling you were all going easy on me.

I have to take off as well.  Lunch is over and the boss is back to droning on about something she perceives as important before she forgets all about it by tomorrow morning.

I'm flying from Harrisburg, PA to San Diego, CA for just over $400, or at least that's the plan anyway.

Ya. My flights from Edmonton to San Fran were about that. My flights to San Diego will be about that too...Haha. But Edmonton to Victoria?? Seems a bit out of wack...I guess it is summer time.
