Artemis - 2009-01-08 10:13 AM Morning Nibbs.  I am still tired.   I have no clue why.

morning Jenn!

Some days are like that - frustrating, isn't it?

I've been feeling this way all week.  It's so annoying.

Could it be from cutting down on the food?  The body does take a while to adjust.

I think that's a possibility.  My other thoughts are having a cold or needing to get thryoid medicine levels adjusted (I haven't had them checked in about 4 months).

kns57 - 2009-01-08 11:31 AM I see we have had visits from a couple of the guys this morning. Long time since Bill has been around. Don't be a stranger guys (like i'm one to talk since I haven't been around much myself the last month.) New Years Resolution - visit BT & Nibbs more often.

A wise person once said, "Werk less, BT more!"

I wish I was in a position to do that  I really shouldn't complain though.  With all that's going haywire in the economy, I actually got a 4% raise yesterday.  Being that I work on the bad news side of the bank, I figured my job was very safe, I just didn't see that coming.  I'll certainly take it

that's awesome Bill!  Congratulations!

It sure is rough out there, I'm very thankful to have a job - and thankful that I left my previous company - I'm sure I would have been one of the unfortunates that were laid off last year

We're still looking for unemployment for Mrs. Sesh, though.  Tough going so far.  On her last day in Memphis at the radio station, they laid off 10 people in her building.  It wasn't quite the going away lunch she was hoping for.

Good luck to him!

I bet that is some interesting work right now.  Really, this is the first time a huge segment of the financial sector workers have seen anything like this.  Back in the 80s with the S&Ls is really the last time it was like this.

Wow, that is cool in this economic environment. We were waiting to hear waht was going to happen to our library budget at the commissioners vote on Tuesday and they voted in a interim budget and won't do the final budget till March. So, we got a cut, but they said that some of the funds will be reinstated come March since the cut put us at risk to lose the state money of 1.5 Mil. I forsee positions not being filled in the next several months. What I wish we would do is close the library on Sundays. That would save a cool million.

I visited the local library yesterday!  Picked up a George Washington biography.  Think I'm going to try to read, in elected order, a biography on every Prez.  So that's 43-Cleveland+soon to be Obama=43 biographies.  I'm either going to get really into it and finish much quicker than I expect, or I'll make it to Jefferson and give up.  At least there aren't any new Harry Potters coming out to distract me.

I've felt the pressure, but so far I've left my vampire stories to Bram Stoker.

I read it when it first came out and they were talking about it being the next big book (Potter like) and I was not impressed, so you aren't missing anything. Enjoy your biographies. That is a very popular section in the library. You and Yanti have lots of company.

He was never elected anyway.  So maybe I can skip him.

I do have this huge book on the Rockefellers that I bought for $1 at the Boston Public Library when they were having a book sale.  I kinda want to get started on it, but I'm avoiding the temptation.  I tend to get into 3-4 books at a time and I end up finishing none of them.

Hey all.  This is just a drive by.  I need to get to work on the affidavit thingamajig and have it notarized.  Fortunately I have a friend who is a notary and I can meet up with her anytime before 9:30pm.  Unfortunately Dave is nervous about stuff (totally understandable) and wants to check it "in case there is anything to revise or reword."    I don't think that will be much of an issue-I am such a perfectionist that it will have been edited many times before he sees it.
