I was doing ok managing pain and taking naps and even eating regularly. Started getting lots of pain again today and am back on the prescription drugs. It still hurts even with the percocet. I foresee a visit to the doctor in my future. Well gee. That suxs. I think that a call to the doctor might be in order. If you were doing OK, but then it got worse, maybe they need to take a look at you, or at least talk to them and see what they say. How are you feeling tonight? I did call. He said to go back on the percocet and use a heating pad. I have an appointment on Friday. |

She fractured the C5 and C6 vertebrae when she had a drop seizure on Wednesday evening. Fortunately the fractures are stable and she was released this afternoon with a soft collar(big foam neck wrap). |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XLI I had a follow-up appointment today. The doctor said I "can't always be an overachiever" and to take it slow. Nothing is infected, but some people take weeks to months to feel better. I have another appointment in two weeks. Hopefully I'll get permission to do some workouts then. I know I won't be able to run, but I'm hoping I can at least bike by then. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XLI Oh, and my husband gets back tonight! He's been in Canada for half of the week. He would have been home in about a half an hour, but his plan got delayed, so it's more like an hour and a half. I'm looking forward to having him home. |

Still some pain, but I've figured out how to deal with the nausea better. Very little fat, little protein, and mostly carbs seems to be the best diet. Today I hate 1,150 calories, 12% of which was protein and 10% of which was fat. Not so bad. It's the most I've had in a week and a half and a lot of liquid calories. The incisions are itching like crazy. One is driving me crazy near my bra line. My doc said it's raised because I'm "skinny". I laughed at him. |

Did they have any advice about the itching? Would it help if you put an OTC antibiotic ointment on it? (It's worthless in terms of the "antibiotic," but I'm thinking the petroleum base might help alleviate the itchiness.) |
