Color fun shapes in the 8-year old's hair. Because it's the cool thing to do. And he's the Fun Dad. Then you rinse it off a little before you go to bed so that (supposedly) there won't be any excess to rub off on his sheets/pillowcase. My daughter had a green streak, and a purple streak. My son had a red swath around his head in a U shape. And he didn't want to go to school until I re-did it. He was in a such a mood that I refused. I told him he should have dad help him with it. I had nothing to do with it the first time, I wasn't going to fix it, especially when he was throwinga fit about which jelly I made his sandwhich with. *Oy* And when I called hubby at work so he culd get a taste of what he caused by letting him color his hair and stay up wayyyyyy too late, he hung up on me. Such is how my day started out. |

Our daughter couldn't stay up until 10 if you paid her. Since she was a toddler when she is ready for bed SHE IS READY FOR BED! She gets cranky when she's tired so we don't mess with that. My son can stay up late, but he's a bear the next day then. |

My 13 year old goes out of town on Friday, my tri is Saturday morning. 8 year old cannot be left home alone. Grrr. |
