I figure if I can finish a gravel road 34km run, that I can finish a 21km trail HM? right? Haha. Trail running is so hard!

Well I just ordered myself some new runners...as mine are almost at 500km and its nearing that time again...

I also ordered myself some CW-X 3/4 length tights...they look pretty spiffy.

Hi Melindy! I have those tights and they are great in this fall weather. Love the extra support.

Yeah, I'm going to wear mine for MCM as well. Training is going ok. Last week was a step back week and I needed it. My legs are feeling the mileage. This weekend I'm doing 18. I'll do 20 miles, maybe twice, but nothing longer planned. I have zero time aspirations. I'm slow and nothing will change that in 6 weeks.

This week is my "step back"...long run wise...my mileage will be pretty high by the end though...prob 2 training runs this week and then 2 races on the weekend...well sunday will be whatever it turns out to be...its more or less a fun run in support of the heart clinic here in Ed. Need to run tomorrow at some point I think...haven't really figured out when with all the small group sessions planned...

Melindy, your schedule amazes me. I'm doing 9 tomorrow but I have a wide open day. Upside of unemployment....lots of time to train.

Upside of medicine: I don't technically need to go to lecture, so I can just learn things on my own and train whenever...downside: we have weekly friday quizzes this year...so I have to keep up... Haha.

Right now its a 50/50 whether or not I go to lecture...sometimes it depends on if I feel like getting up at 8am to listen to lecture in person...

I should go down there and tell him in person.

He has the weekends off, I told him I could meet him at one of your cabins.

That would be about 1/2 way. The lake is still warm enough for swimming, too.

With it being so dry, is there still much water in the lake?

The lake is dam controlled and unlike all of the other lakes around here, it is not operated by a power company so they keep the level up for recreation. If we don't get any rain soon, it will start going down. There is still a good bit of water coming into the lake from the river. Two years ago it went down 4 feet. First time in its history.
