pdbman - 2010-10-18 11:33 AM I swear they must have changed something on BT lately. I've never had a double post in my life until today and it was a double blank post. All I did was start typing and the screen changed and there is was. My first double post. Over the last couple weeks I've had a problem where I start typing and it posts before I'm finished. Sometimes with text, sometimes without. Anyone else having similar problems?

In the past week I have found that I keep responding to quotes in the middle of the quote, then I have to go back and edit it. It was never an issue before, but maybe it's just me.

mbasta - 2010-10-17 6:49 PMSorry it took longer to get back to you about that then expected. I have been preparing for my trial run at that clinic tomorrow. I've been reading my athletic therapy text book trying to de-rust my brain. I really hope that I come home on Monday evening to bring good news!

I'm sure that you're already at work for the day, but I hope everything goes well and that you get the job.

I got a "We regret to inform you" letter from the company that I interviewed with. The search goes on.

That's too bad. Keep updating your skills with workshops and anything else that is documented to show that you're keeping current for future opportunities when they arise. I'm just mentioning this because you said you've been working outside of your desired feild for awhile and are concerned that your qualifications and experience may become outdated.

I hope that something else in your field comes soon!

Awsome! Thanks for doing that. I hearby name you the team captain! However, as there has been no vote it's unofficial.

Hey Melissa, I like your star pattern. One blue, two purple, three green. Pretty cool.

I agree! But I just ruined it. Just another Ghoulie Crushing day... Laughing

I did 8 mile run yesterday, will see how the legs do with 5 today.

Good weekend - tried out the clothes that I will wear for the 1/2 mary and it worked well. The fuel belt I got does everything the reviews said it wouldn't. Fabulous - wore it for 2 miles and took the thing off. Not sure what to do about that.

Ordered some new shoes and body glide to use on race day. Will need the new shoes right before then and might need to use the body glide. Got it to raise my total over $100 so footlocker.com would give me $20 off.

Other than that nothing special going on. Hope everyone is having a good monday.

Stacie

I had one that I bought to use on 20+ mile trail runs. I spent $65 on it and hate it. I actually run about 1 min per mile slower when I wear it.

That's too bad for both of you. I have a fuel belt and I love it. I think maybe a style difference.

How do you carry your water now?

Awesome! My shin is a bit sore from the weekend and not loving the impact right now but I'll do what I can this week and no doubt have a crazy one next week to get on target!

Just realised I need to swim every other day to hit that target but that shouldn't be a problem, just boooooring....

Welcome to my world, Rachel. Undecided

I feel for you, I really do. I know lots of people find it relaxing, calming, peaceful, whatever, but I don't!  Plus I have a tonne of one arm drills to do right now which work just fine on one side but on the other I end up nearly drowning. I'm sure it looks hilarious to anyone watching!

Are you learning to breathe bilaterally? Because this sounds exactly what I looked like when I was teaching myself. (looks/feels like drowning)

QueenZipp - 2010-10-18 7:59 PM Bribery may have worked Tongue out  I did 24 minutes on the bike, all the shuttle thyng squats, calf raises AND JUMPS.  He is thinking about a run.  My guess is a couple weeks if no problem from this,  Not even 1:1 intervals....but a run is a run.

HAPPINESS

Awsome! It looks like you're progressing well now. Keep up the good work and tell the gastroc to behave.

mbasta - 2010-10-19 9:10 AM The trial work day session went well yesterday for the most part. I was a little bit rusty since I haven't done kinesiologist work in a year. Mostly I picked up the passive treatment application quickly since I had used most of it before. I got to take out acupuncture needles for my first time (after having been taught by the physiotherapist of course). I saw a traction machine being used but didn't try it myself yet. I find that machine a little bit... scary - but once I have seen it in action a few times I'll be more confident about it. I did very well in the gym area since I know my stuff when it comes to exercises, and I talked more while in there to demonstrate my knowledge since I was weaker in passive treatment. I need to brush up on the orgins and insertions (where the muscle tendons attach) of muscles. It looked pretty bad when I was asked to do ultrasound on the piriformis but couldn't identify the orgin and insertion points (although I knew the general area). So today I am brushing up on orgins and insertions before I go to a second interview for a different company this afternoon.

No word yet from them (Monday) but hopefully they will get back to me soon and let me know so that I can stop looking or move on. I did like it there though!

Good to hear your trial work day went well... hope you hear back from them soon.

Got a bike ride on the schedule for this evening after my test and meeting a friend from class to study for my other test.  Got my run in yesterday... that reminds me I never updated the spreadsheet.  I should go do that now.

Good morning, team!  Sorry I've been MIA.  Life has just been crazy and I haven't had time for workouts or BT-ing.  Very busy with work and family stuff.  Work is the biggest concern.  I work for a bank that is having some serious financial struggles.  Everyone's a little worried about job security.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Heading to the gym at lunch for either a run or bike... whatever I'm in the mood for when I get there.  Keep crushing those Ghoulies!

dimplespoo - 2010-10-18 6:34 PM Switched up my runs to do 3 miles today and 5 tomorrow. Noticed earlier today knee pain in the left knee and it came back under a mile into the run tonight. Called it at a mile. Just didn't want to push it. Will ice and elevate and see if it is just not happy from the 8 yesterday. Blah.

Take it easy for a couple of days and give your knee a chance to recover and everything will be ok.
