I signed up for the limiter challenge last week. Dee added a challenge as well-I can't miss out on that.  So December has 2 challenges on board(so far). 

I'm doing Slugger's challenge too. Going to swim for one, and bike for the other.

What about the previously mentioned shoulder and knee???

Ok what am I doing in December...

I get a little worried when it's my sole responsibility to provide dinner.  That's a lot of pressure.  At least I know I'm good at making mashed potatos.  Would it be wrong to serve just mashed potatos, bread, and cheesecake?

Cleaning duties may also be required....

I'm back from dinner.  My beloved PowerBook is on death's door.  The display is all screwed up and I can't read anything on the screen.  It's time to make sure everything is backed up and look at getting a new one.  Unfortunately, they are expensive.

I'm sad.

I'm also sad that I will be missing out on the dress Cat opportunity this week.

Add some vegetables and you are good... dont think there is anything wrong with keeping it simple...

Do you have a microwave? You can really easily do some vegies in the microwave in a couple of minutes to save you any hassle... then if you want to season them throw on some lemon juice or a bit of olive oil or fresh herbs...

Its kind of cheating but who cares?

Oh yeah just realised you didnt mention the turkey thing... you can buy precooked Turkey that you just have to heat up... takes the pressure off a HUGE amount and its realy turkey so still tastes good... I did that for chrissie eve last year and saved me hours in the kitchen

I would have done it sooner but it makes sense to wait until the flatmate is NOT home!

I LOVE baking so for me its purrfect... we dont have turkey day here... would be good if we did then I could spread out all the things i want to make over more days which would be MUCH MORE practical!

That would be my husband's favorite dinner ever, I think.

Lol - I know what Id like to *think* I would be doing... but... Im worried I got sick this time because of overdoing it... and December has parties and things....

That makes a lot of sense.  I like to try on outfits when my husband isn't home. 

Actually, I think I'm going to go all out.  Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, maybe some spagetti squash, bread...the whole nine.  If I have the time I may even break out great-grandma's noodle recipie.

Its not as interesting as last year anyway... I just have to work out shoes and accessories really...

Somehow I think I'd rather dress up for Christmas if the weather was warmer.  I end up wearing sleeveless dresses and being cold all night.

Do people in Australia tend to get married in January and February instead of June and July?

Well my only advice then is to make everything you can the day before (or two) and to prepare everything than can be at least part made and put in the fridge before hand... (vegies chopped and kepy in water etc)

Also if in doubt just have some extra drinks and nibbles to tide everyone over til the food is ready! And have the timing of everything written on the fridge so... you know how long the bird will take and then can work everything else around it..

Oh and one tip from my experience last year... empty the fridge and freezer uot of food as much as you can in advance!

Yeah its spring and summer here for peak wedding season... I think its October - March thats peak season...
