kimk - 2009-03-02 9:22 AM Morning Phil! Getting kick out of your sons game...he must be so proud!Surprised... So you are one of "those" parents, would have never thought! My dh gives me the "look" when I get too loud.

I had a few supporters.  I asked my boy on the way home what he thought, and he told me that he was thinking to himself "so, my dad got kicked forrrrrrrrr what??  For saying "you know what a moving pick is?""  Yep, he was a little confused about that, too.   One of his little buddies gave him a high-five on the bench after it happened to indicate "ALRIGHT, ALEC - Your Dad got booted. COOL!".

My parents never go thrown out of one of my sporting events...I feel like I missed out on something!

kimk - 2009-03-02 9:46 AM I also agree that if a ref needs to be schooled on the rules it's a parents job to do that for him! Ya know it will only make him a better ref right?

Correct.  I think it was my booming voice in a quiet gym that was threatening or something.

I find it interesting that our coach's wife, who was very vocal and has a slightly shrilly voice, was voicing out every now and then, but SHE doesn't get thrown.  Different standards.

serendipity - 2009-03-01 9:10 PM Alright peeps, I've got to get to bed.  Looks like my morning swim won't happen because of the snow we're getting, so I've got an early trainer ride.  (My trainer is set up in the bedroom.  My husband *loves* it when I ride early in the morning.)

Did ya have a good trainer ride?

Yup.  Nice and loud.  Woke the kids up.  29 minutes of heaven.

Yes, Phil, I said 29 minutes.  That's how you know I'm really talking about my trainer ride.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it's fixable.

Of course, its just a matter of getting motivated to do it

So ya motivated yet?

I was for a few hours.  Not so much anymore

Morning, Princess Katie.  I can be embarrassed, but I'm not "unruly", just perturbed and pointing out the facts.  There are other parents that yell out when they don't know the actual rule.  A ref thanked me for correcting another parent a few weeks ago, which was cool.

Hmmmmmmmm, you never know.  That sounds like a punchline -

"Hey, ref!  You know what a moving d1ck is?  No?  Give up?  YOU!" hahahahahahahaha.
