HEE! stacieb Don't know what the weather is in the western part of the state but this afternoon and this evening they are calling for thunderstorms. If you get your bike this morning you can get a ride in and then take a nap this afternoon. Just sayin'. |

Yeah, we probably should. I need to go take a head count later to see how many we have. i'd say 8-10 tops. you always end up losing a few a long the way. 6-8 is probably 'ideal' just my two cents. stacieb We may be in the 6-8 range now. I think we picked up a few last night. Seems like a pretty good crowd. I vote for the high side cause, like Stacie said, you always loose a few over time. Heck, the mentor group I had, the mentor went awol after a month! Very discouraging. |

Ghoulies I have a confession I have never had a Krispy Kreme donut I have on several occasions had people tell me they were going to take me to the store and get me a fresh warm donut It has never happened And I'm not losing sleep over it I'm not really a fan of donuts to begin with Unless they have chocolate and maybe some sprinkles on them That is all Living in the south I am supposed to like them. I prefer Dunkin Donuts if I have to have them Krulers and coffee. I'll trade sweet snacks for fried salty ones anytime. Fried and salty is my weakness! I'm not a fan of sugary, except maybe brownies. I had 2 cakes and 2 dozen cupcakes at my house on Sunday and never touched them. fried, not so much for me. salty for sure. i tend to oscillate between sweet and salty. that's why i think CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS ARE PURE GENIUS. stacieb Oh then I'll have to bring your our own homemade chocolate pretzel goodness when I come out! YUM! I can be bought with that. State secrets, there yours! Robin I'm going to have to send you food. I'll put together a goodie basket of my chocolate pretzels and a bag of SWEDISH FISH!!! |

I am close to 2 bike legs but a long way from swim/run even 1 Don't shoot the messenger but KK are horrible. They actually closed down locally because Tim Hortons put them out of business! I prefer salty or sugary - fried would be last! Sweet Queen - get out there and ride - I can't!!!! I'm not going to shoot the messenger. I've never had a KK or a Tim Horton's. I can't even tell you the last time I had a Dunkin Donut. Just not a fan of them. I prefer BACON for breakfast! |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are doing Ironman distances this month! ironannekidd - 2010-04-08 7:12 AM Stacie - you had said earlier that you have problems sleeping when you workout late in the evening. You are not alone. I have the same issue, so do others that I've read about. That was part of my gripe about my hours changing. If I get my HR up it takes too long to come back down. I have found in my own personal experience though that a glass of red wine helps me unwind and sleep. it was most definately a heart rate issue....well that and the conversation i had w my friend last night.....and the conversation im gonna have tonight w my in laws. lots of unease in my life right now. which is ok, its just..... im not sure exactly where mine was at [gotta start wearing a monitor] but it was elevated when i walked outta class. the instructor apologized, we didnt get to our final spin segment, she was too busy BEATING OUR AZZES TO PULP and ran out of time. the classes are booked back to back (SO WRONG ON A MULTITUDE OF LEVELS imho) so there wasnt sufficient time to cool down. i was SO spent from the workout and the day, but what i shouldve done/what i wanted to do was go and swim an easy 500...just to lower my HR/and stretch out a few things.... MY BAD. though... i do like your wine idea. i havent had a bottle in the fridge since oh about New Years.....perhaps i'll try Malatonin next time. thanks sweets. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2010-04-08 8:10 AM |
