mbasta - 2010-10-19 7:10 AM The trial work day session went well yesterday for the most part. I was a little bit rusty since I haven't done kinesiologist work in a year. Mostly I picked up the passive treatment application quickly since I had used most of it before. I got to take out acupuncture needles for my first time
(after having been taught by the physiotherapist of course
). I saw a traction machine being used but didn't try it myself yet. I find that machine a little bit... scary - but once I have seen it in action a few times I'll be more confident about it. I did very well in the gym area since I know my stuff when it comes to exercises, and I talked more while in there to demonstrate my knowledge since I was weaker in passive treatment. I need to brush up on the orgins and insertions
(where the muscle tendons attach
) of muscles. It looked pretty bad when I was asked to do ultrasound on the piriformis but couldn't identify the orgin and insertion points
(although I knew the general area
). So today I am brushing up on orgins and insertions before I go to a second interview for a different company this afternoon.
No word yet from them
(Monday
) but hopefully they will get back to me soon and let me know so that I can stop looking or move on. I did like it there though!
