Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) I am a post padding FOOL! Now, I turn into a story-telling fool. So, your motivational tactics worked today. When I got home from work, I dropped into my chair and slept for two and a half hours. This is totally unlike me, but I guess I needed it. So then, when I got up, I was running late. I went over to my friends to get stuff for canning. Got all the stuff...and forgot the veggies. Argh! So she followed me back home to get the stuff. It was now over two hours past my bedtime. THEN, we had a Big Serious Discussion, which took another, oh, I dunno, 45 minutes. *Sigh* It was such a gorgeous day, I very seriously considered staying up to run. I knew it was a super short workout, but I really, really needed to sleep. I fell into bed, then tossed and turned for, oh right, 40 minutes. The length of time my run and shower would have taken. Grr. I woke up in a freak out, as I dreamed there was a snake crawling in my bed. It was a good thing I woke up, too, as I hadn't set my alarm. I realized I had enough time to get my run in, and that I simply could not face telling you guys I had slacked off (it would have been my first missed workout). So out I went. See the whine in the Training Talk for how THAT went. Nighttime running and me are not friends. Vodka and I are friends, my kitty and I are friends, soft warm jammies under my feathers on a dark grey day with my landlords gone so I can sleep to the sound of rain and in the dark and I are friends. Nighttime running, not on that list. But I did my d@mn workout, so y'all can put your itchy trigger fingers/whip hands/cattle-prodding-arms away. Next time, I stay up and do the run in the daylight. |

If my legs hold up I will be at 50+ miles by the end of Sunday. As in running? I cant imagine running 50 miles ever.. WOW! Yep, as in running. Actually, after looking at my schedule it will be 55ish miles. I have a running club run tomorrow and an 18miler on Sunday. Next week is a lighter week though with a 12 miler as my longest run for the week. What kind of schedule are you on? Do you do the same milage and then 1 long run? |

Yeah, well the week after that has a 20 miler, so 12 would be a welcomed break. Did someone trick you into thinking that a marathon would be fun? Marathons ARE fun ...... especially if you add some swimming and biking along with it |

Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) Morning everyone. Hope your night went okay. What's everyone up to today? I have to go to the cable co to get a new HD cable box. The one they gave me doesn't work. Bummer. I have my 4.5 mile run and that is about it. Not much planned and I am super happy about that. I might try to get a swim in later but not sure if that will happen. I probably should actually cook dinner for my family tonight. But, why start now? I haven't cooked most of the week. I don't mind cooking, it's the complaining about what I cooked from my kids I don't like. Oh, PTA meeting tonight too. That should be great entertainment!!!! |

Still anxiously awaiting those pictures, Emily. Must.Leave.Now. I'm running late but, uhhhh, Emily? I think "Pouring on the Sexy" needs to be your blog title . I didn't get the chance to take any pictures of my lizard-skinned, racoon-eyed sexiness but in an effort to appease the masses (two people requesting photos counts as "the masses", right?) I'll drop in a silly self-portrait that I took for a previous challenge thread. This is a post run photo. I may have been having too much fun with the short hair. Oh, hi there, hot stuff. I still want a raccoon eye picture. |

Two 3.1 mile runs (Mondays and Thursdays), 1 intermidiate (Weds, changes from week to week, but normally between 5-8 miles), and 1 long run (usually Saturdays). I shuffle the order if needed. So I try to only run 4 days a week. |

You can settle the complaining by the kids by assigning them each a night to cook. That is the way I handled my kids. Two things come out of it. 1. the complaining stops because they are glad it wasn't their turn to cook and 2. they actually become pretty good cooks out of it. Both of my kids can now cook without cookbooks if they have to. |

LOL Do you think there would be any takers? I will participate if I get to count my entire monthly total against one of his days. I might even try to really, really, really bust a move and count my entire monthly total toward one of his weeks. I think I could work up to that. In a few months. x2!!! I say your month and my month combined for one of his days. |
