mchally - 2010-08-12 7:22 AM oh...I figured out where I am going to live.

I thought of a past roommate that I had gotten along really well with and gave him a call.  It turns out that one gal that has been with him the last year is moving out at the end of the month to live closer to school/work and another gal that moved in last month sent him an email this morning that it wasn't going to work out.  She has some issues...mental, financial, etc and decided to get into some sort of program.

Anyway, he was fretting this morning about what he was going to do with both rooms empty when I gave him a call...

I will have my old room back.  $475 a month, utilities, wifi, and laundry included.  Plus it is furnished (if I want) with a new bed, desk, etc.

It is very nice to have that resolved.

Plus I will have a hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, biking, etc buddy again.  Oh...he considers me family and will share his REI employee discounts too.

Thats fantastic news Mel - should mean the whole move is relatively stress free for you

Slackers!!

Pretty well. Today was my last day of work for the week. Took a few days off, and am heading out of town on Friday for a wedding this weekend. This is the last wedding of this year that we're going to. It's been quite the summer, and I'm glad that this is the final wedding.

Blagels - 2010-08-11 12:07 PM You see! Question game is FUN! You guys are slackers - GO SEE INCEPTION! Jen, what were your initial thoughts on the first Temeraire book? I checked out the xkcd comic... I didn't get it, maybe not for me. The Questionable Comment comic, I did get - and thought was hilarious. Huge fan of Penny Arcade. Dee - so much for a negative split on that 5k course, eh?

I really enjoyed the Temeraire book.  My husband loved it.  I thought the idea of putting dragons into 19th century English Navy was really entertaining.  I am looking forward to reading the other ones.

xkcd is lots of science and math jokes.  Some days it is a lot funnier than others.

1) Where were you born? Where do you currently live?

2) What is your current job?

3) What is your dream job?

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?

2) What is your current job?  Graduate student at VCU studying pulmonary hypertension and development of heart failure.

3) What is your dream job?  Working on clinical research, ideally in autoimmunity

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?  Lots of places!  I'd love to go to France for the Tour, go to Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Australia, the Moon.

Yay!

1) Where were you born? Where do you currently live?
Rogers, AR; Currently in Fayetteville, AR
Just think of the home of Wal-Mart, and that's where I am - like it or not. Actually, I love the area, but don't love Wal-Mart.

2) What is your current job?
Sr. Business Solutions Architect
Basically just means that I figure out how to take data / information that's available and manipulate it to meet a client's needs.

3) What is your dream job?
Working for myself. Would love to own a bar / restaurant or something fitness related.

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?
Number one place - Spain. England is a close 2nd. I'm not very worldly, so there are plenty of places I'd love to go.

2) What is your current job?  Client Solutions Executive at a broadcaster here in Australia

3) What is your dream job?  I still am not 100% sure what I want to be when I grow up... maybe business development with a pro cycling team

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?  France and then into Europe (Ive wanted to go to France since I was quite little... maybe 10 or 11)... US, massive road trip stopping everywhere with time no concern. Japan... just because and well some nice expensive health resort for a weeks R&R and lots of flashy beach holidays (room service!)

My lungs are doing well and my thyroid levels are good, so I'm pretty healthy in that respect.

I have allergy testing next Thursday to check on the peanut reaction.  Had to wait awhile to clear the allergy meds out of my system.  10 days without allergy medicine in the summer is not so much fun, but it's important enough to do it.  I wouldn't bother if it wasn't a food allergy issue.

1) Where were you born? Where do you currently live?
In a hospital.   In Chicago, IL.  In a house in the town of Marshall, WI (approx. 16 miles East, NE of Madison, WI)

2) What is your current job?
Senior Network/Desktop Support/jack-of-all-trades computer guy.

3) What is your dream job?
Doing what I'm doing and doing triathlons more full time.

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?
Well, I'm really stretching it and reaching out here, but, since I'm a doubter, be the first living person to see/go/visit and then leave "heaven", then prove/show/provide undeniable evidence to humanity, that "heaven" exists.  Otherwise, visiting ANY "old world" country outside the continental United States would be exhilirating.

Yes, I am weird and think way outside the box.  Glad that I can entertain you.

Are you SURE you want to know me? Heh.....

3) What is your dream job?
This one is easy: Tasering people for a living.

4) If you could travel anywhere (money not an object), where would that be?
First, I'd visit all the islands in the Caribbean. Then, I'd go to France to watch the TdF. All 3 weeks of it. Then, of course, I'd have to see Europe. From there, I'd head for Australia and all the islands in the South Pacific. And since money is no object, I'd then relocate to Hawaii.

Actually, I'd really like to work my way around the world. That would be cool.

I'm fine with rain when it's warm outside. I'm not too thrilled being in the rain when it's cold outside though.
