wgraves7582 - 2010-10-28 7:47 AM Melissa is a good egg.

Think we should offer her Ghoulieship next month?

It doesn't matter to me, as long as they'll fit in and not try to change us. I like us just the way we are.

The last run in my plan is 2 miles.  It hardly seems worth taping the knees and putting on the kicks for 2 miles. But I'm going to do it.

The first 2 miles of every run suck. Whether I'm running 3 miles or 10 miles. So, today's run is just going to suck.

I haven't run at all this week.

I was thinking about trying to get 2 or 3 miles in this evening.

Turn that frown upside down!!

Negative out - positive in

Well, it IS my last training run and after MCM I do not plan on running for several weeks. Going to get reacquainted with the chlorine playground.

Ain't that the truth??!!??!!

I've been debating which corral to start in because my first few miles are usually WAY slower than my normal pace. I can't decide if I should start back farther then work my way up. Or start up a bit, then just try to hold on for the first few miles until I get comfortable. I think I have the "Don't go out too fast" stuck in my head and I'm thinking too much about it.

We said it was NOT running. Except that there is that minor detail of a half marathon coming up in January.

Have we ever had a swim challenge?

I find that it is really dispiriting to get passed a lot. Even if you KNOW you started with the Hares. I prefer to start back with the lame turtles so I get to pass folks before I hit my "stride".

I hear you Ann. My last HM I went out way too fast and paid for it the last couple miles. I'm still not sure what my overall pace will be. During the taper I've regained a minute and a half on my pace. I know I can't keep that pace for the race, but I think I can do better than my long training runs when I my legs were pretty trashed.
