Target sells fishnets!?!?!!

I knew they sold towels, but fishnets?!?!!?!?

This is starting to remind me of the Bridget Jones Diaries

Okay ladies, let's not harp on her losing her fishnets, we've all lost a piece of clothing somewhere before, right?  Afterall, even I lost a belt at a bar in college, and I'm a good little southern belle.Kiss

ok, so here's a funny story about losing clothes

when I was in college..........................i had gained a bunch of weight, lost a bunch of weight (yes this is relevant)

soooooo, the elastic in my half slip was all stretched out, being a poor college student, I decided to tuck the slip into the top of my pantyhose rather than incurring the expense of a new slip.

well, as I was walking on campus, feeling very sexy in my cute little outfit - all dressed up (for the life of me I cannot remember why I was dressed up)

anyway, I'm walking along - and all of the sudden, I feel something tickling my knees, then my calves, I look down {very puzzled look on my face} and realize that my slip is falling off of me

(keep in mind, I am in the middle of campus)

my thought process is something like this - hmmmmmm, I have two choices

  1. pull my slip back up and tuck it back into to the top of my pantyhose or
  2. continue walking and leave it behind

soooooo, i kept on walking until the slip dropped to the ground, stepped over it and never looked back

LMAO!!!!!

THAT'S A CLASSIC!!!!

Love that one, Beth

I have no idea how I got reeled into this thread, so I'll blame it on Cat.

It's OK, Max.  I got suckered sucked in, too.  I blame Sparco, though.

I'm such a dealer...BT Twisnibbins thread...the new crack...heh...

With Patti heading off to have bloodwork tests and then the weekly food shopping, I'm shooting for 2 hours on the trainer.  Now maybe that's ambitious and my nether regions will probably be complaining after 60 minutes, but it's a goal at least.  Let's see how close I can get to it.

I hope Mrs. Max is OK...

x2...give her a little BT love from the group...

Ooohh, look!  Our thread is getting wider again...do we need to start a new thread at around 50 pages?  At what page number did it become wide enough so we had to scroll last time?

Heh...by the way, I do my FIRST 5K next Thursday

Turkey Run (Run)
11/22/2007 in Minneapolis , Minnesota
RaceLink (1 Members) - RaceReports

Funny...I've done marathons, and now an Oly, but not one 5K to my name until this year...

ummmmm, I think it was around 70 or so - not sure

I have a feeling the thread may grow even faster with all of our new friends!!

Loving it!!

Back again. Glad to see all the action on the thread. Max, you put my legs to shame! Sal, good luck on the 5K. Somehow I think you can handle it. A marathon before a 5K? That's just nuts! Hello Mila, Beth, Kendra and Tammy!!!

Well my chiro kind of rained on my parade. She did not like the feel of my ropy hip flexor at all. She fussed at me for ab work, she fussed at me for running. She told me all I was doing was laying muscle on top of knots that need to be gone before I can add strength. Also that I was most likely fraying the ends of my tendons by trying to stretch without the knots gone and that I could risk another tear. Well, eff!!!!!! WTF am I supposed to do?

http://silvercomet.tripod.com/ The silver comet is an old converted rail line. Closer to Atlanta it can be busy with street crossings and people walking thier dogs, but from about the 12 mile marker it opens up a lot and you can really put some miles on the bike. I have ridden it out to Rockmart, but it goes even farther now and I want to ride it. It take me almost 90 minutes to get to it from my house so I don't get to ride it very often. Mila is closer to it than I am.

I *heart* the Silver Comet Trail.  Great for looooonnngg training rides.  You can go pretty much all the way to the Alabama state line from Atlanta... but it's a little sketchy trail-wise (and feeling like you're in the middle of Deliverance nowhere) once you get past a certain point (Rockmart).  This is about the time you start seeing warning signs about being out there at your own risk because there's no water available.  I don't advocate riding any part of the SCT alone, incidentally.

No, I'm always with my hubby and about once year we can convience some friends to do it. Always have our own water and body fuel. Sure is better than riding on the roads in Gwinnett Co. There you really take your life into your hands when riding the bike.

We are so glad that you have been reeled in. Welcome, welcome. How is Mrs. Max doing? Still getting her walks in with you on the loop?

She's doing great!  Taking a day off today due to the heavy rain, but she's closing in on 4 months of steady walking and losing nearly 25 lbs in the process...all while battling MS at the same time.  The chick has a lotta guts!

Now I have to do some caculations and see how many posts were put up during my 70 minute trainer ride.  PPMs as it were!
