D001 - 2007-12-09 6:25 PM Your avatar change threw me for a second.... No pink sneakers? No tiara? However, a pink tree - yeah, I can see the connection. I'll assume there's a tiara at the top of it.

Yes, yes of course there's a tiara on top of it. It is my festive holiday av... cause nothing says festivus like a pink Christmas tree in the water...

Incidentally, when I was searching for "pink Christmas trees" an alarming number of images popped up.

At least it was an alarming number of images.... and not a number of alarming images.

Heh.  This is true, however, I believe a few of them were somewhat alarming to this traditional Christmas tree kinda girl.  To each his/her own but I believe that they should be green.

On the other hand, this could look stunning in my foyer:

enders_shadow - 2007-12-09 6:55 PM I co-mentored last time with a person who has raced more than me (she was my mentor for the 1st go-round)...we are in the same boat (married, kids, jobs, limited training, etc.) so we thought we'd do OK... However, I am a bad mentor. I have the attention span of a flea on a ferret. I am irresponsible. I left my mentees hanging and I feel darn guilty about it. (I only still follow up on one of them, but a few others ones are still on the BT boards, so I am a bad mentor.) That is all. Actually, I lied...I was thinking of signing up as a mentee instead - with someone a little more hardcore (and no, Mila - not ADollar - I looked, pondered, and immediately decided, um no.)

Actually... $1.79's serious triathlon advice is pretty darn good, as evidenced by a lot of his posts (ummmm... but probably not the ones in COJ ).

Maybe Sal and I could co-mentor.  Then I could boss him around even more .

LMAO... I noticed she didn't mention me .

I thought I did? Hm.

Actually, my browser crashed awhile back. It took a bunch of stuff that I was "multi-tasking" on. Maybe that post went with it? (As did the other 300 I was working on at the time....)

Basically, my reply said something to the effect that you would be a great mentor - AND your entire group would be color-coordinated (and pink) with sassylicious hair and tiaras, and set an all-time BT blogging record.

Why not just be a mentor, and make Sal your slave mentee?

That way, you could just boss him around all day, all night, on weekdays and weekends.....

Youd be a fun mentor!!! Like... totallY!

Yessss! I can see it now...

Question: "How often should I swim?"

Answer: "As little as possible. Also, it depends on how hot your hair looks."

hmm so with my blonde hair that tends to go green in the chlorine... what should i do?

Some options for you: 1) Shave it off. 2) Use a clarifying shampoo. (These often contain a small amount of citric acid.) 2) Mix some shampoo with a SMALL amount of vinegar or lemon juice. Vinegar and lemon juice are acidic, which should strip the chlorine out of your hair. (If you use too much vinegar though, you will smell like a salad. ) Oh, I'm assuming you don't color your hair. If there's color in it, the acids will remove the color along with the chlorine.

Yup I use a clarifying shampoo which helps but doesnt seem to fix 100%

No I dont colour my hair....

Lots of people want you!

(Let's start with Pat, for example.... Hehe. I couldn't resist saying that....)

I think you'd be a great mentor.

I went with Medic, because he's about 2 hours from me. It's about time that I started meeting some "local" people. That said, the rest of the people joining are NOT from North Carolina. LOL

Actually, I wouldn't mind doing what you and Donto are doing this month.... Splitting it up was a good idea. I wouldn't mind handling a PORTION of the challenge. I'm just worried that I won't have time to run the whole thing again.

No, I haven't seen them on the challenge forum, but if you drop them a note, let them know I sent you their way. They both started last year and when they found out they were both in Charlotte, they met up and have done a lot of training and races together. One of them is just got the green light last week to start training again after having surgery.

Crisis time.... I have NO more Little Debbies. I have NO more Pepperidge Farm cookies.

What in the world am I going to eat???????????????

I NEED sugar!

At swim meets in HS we used to suck on honey or koolaid (with the sugar already mixed in)

Found some cereal. Not as good as LD, of course....
