kaqphin - 2008-07-02 10:30 PM Well you know I LOVE Stuart O'Grady... him and Robbie are just alike in some ways... both scrappy Both keep riding til someone or something makes them stop... I LOVE it!

I have so much to learn!

Watch the sprint finishes. You'll see what I mean. It's crazy. Lots of fun to watch, but crazy.

And then there are the mountains. And I mean BIG mountains.

Oh yeah - and look for the fans dressed in all sorts of costumes..... Or, um, in nothing at all.

There's always a guy dressed up as a devil. You'll see him on the toughest parts of the mountain stages.

When Lance rode, there was usually a guy wearing these huge longhorn antlers. LOL

Well, you have to admit - it's a whole lot of fun watching the sprinters battle it out at the end of the stage.... (I'd hate to be in the middle of it though! They're crazy! LOL) Which reminds me -- Tom Boonen is out this year, right? Wonder how that will affect things....

Yup...gooooorne.... I will do a green jersey contender thing as well as you like... but maybe not today.. I need to get some work done!

who's Robbie?

I read Cat's post and I can't put it together - I'll get there eventually..........

VERY fast sprinter.

When they show the overhead shots, you can see him pull away from the field....

In the pic that I posted, he had just won the stage - and was pointing at himself.

His interviews are fun to watch too. (But it takes me awhile to get past the accent.... To which Cat just replied, "What accent?" )

When I phone my Dad to tell him that the race is on TV, he usually says, "That's nice. Give me a call when there's about 10 min remaining."

kaqphin - 2008-07-02 6:43 PM Ok... PArt 1 of the TDF intro is up here: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=121900&posts=1#M1505214

What an awesome thing... I really do not have a clue as to the details of the TdF, so this is pretty darn neato!

it was great wasn't it!

Hi Jeni!

what's up?

Hi Beth! Not too much. My neck is sore. I went to the chiropractor today because I was sore and now I am sore in different spots. Hopefully I'll feel better soon. I have a new chiro and she is cool... she has done duathlons and is sporty, so she gets why I put my body through so much misery!

Hi Jeni! Sounds like the visit to the chiropractor was productive. I think I should go see a chiropractor or someone.... Wonder if my insurance would cover it... Hm. Or maybe I could just chop off the body parts that bother me - a shoulder here, a knee there....

Hmmm... not so sure I would recommend that route to self-healing!
