I'm heading home from work to do packing and get ready to leave tomorrow.  Probably won't be around much until Sunday.  I plan on sending updates to my Twitter account (see signature) if anyone is curious about our progress and all the snow.

i'm getting ready to send out a couple of really cool gifts.  nothing store bought, just of sentimental value.  they will be completely unexpected and totally original.  very 'melissa' kinds of gifts.

Hey there Nibbleteers!

I just got back from some shopping. I purchased 3 new Christmas CDs.  Most of the Christmas music that I already had was really mellow.  It's nice to have some upbeat music.

I would like to get back home, but-as always-my mom is desperate for help.

Plus I need to work the respite hours with my little sister.

I am getting Dave's bike ready to ship. He requested that I put a fork brace in the front fork and the rear dropouts. Front fork-no problem, rear dropouts...the LBS folk say I just need to stick a wheel in it. I don't think so. So I made my own super duper rear dropout brace.

Ta Da...

I made sure that there is nothing that can scratch the bike. I even cut a little piece of a drinking straw to cover the portion of the screw that would have been exposed.

Now tell me that isn't awesome.

I've got to keep my hands busy somehow.  Plus I got to scrounge around in the garage, use power tools, play with my pocket knife and with some turquoise duct tape as well.

Have a safe drive home.
