I fixed that for you. No, I'm serious. I REALLY want to meet them. Not sarcasm - and have "words"... I'm guessing they are not NEARLY as tough as they portray online - especially in front of me. From my experience in meeting many a BT'r .. I do find some to be very different face to face than they be on the online. Almost like two different people .. and that makes me sad. A lot of "tough guys" are people that have no social skillz and/or conversational skillz. True. I would say, most I have met are true to their online nature! I'm not sure if they say the same about me. I tend to be quite at first to see how things are going. Get the flow. Then loosen up. But that could be the same for TAN. I didn't start off be this big a D-bag. It took hard work a patience to develope this persona! But I was quiet up front, just like in life. I think I am the same in person but you can see that I am joking most of the time. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() TEEJAY! splane the rowing challange again. How many meters per week and how are you breaking it up? If I wasn't sweating like an absolute pig during my trainer ride last night, I would have jumped on it. But I was GROSS. Seriously sopping wet and the towel I had couldn't absorb another drop. I think it's because it was raining yesterday, so I wasn't drying off. It was actually getting me angry to be pumping out so much sweat at such an average effort. |

I will still do differnt types of workouts .. not jsut straight rowing all the time. I can comfortably row about 1200m in 5 minutes for about 40 minutes before I start to fade.
That's a whole lot of meters right there! |

Cool I figured it wouldn't take that much extra time to get in some meters. At least up front. I might half arse it. I'm not doing 40 on a rower when I need to s/b/r. 10-15 min sounds fun though! help with my core and leg strength. OK. I'm ASSUMING it would help my core and leg strength. Let's make if VERY CLEAR I don't know much about rowing. Edited by Kido 2012-08-01 4:56 PM |

So the curiosity/temptation is the lesser of the two evils. Especially with the BT rules of decorum and not being able to curse to release some of that. Stupid internet tough guys - they would NEVER do that in person. |

I've noticed that in business as well. Emails tend to be meaner than in person. |

Sensei![]() | ![]() I pity so many on the internet. What sad lives they must live. If I didn't have it in front of me at work, I would probably not even be on BT. That's why I was away for almost a year when I wasn't working. |

Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I have been biting my tongue, but feel compelled to ask. Why the hate? Why the negative energy? If not a direct threat or insult directed at you, it's just opinion. Like the Chick-Fil-A story: I vehemently disagree with the CEO's opinion, but am very happy he's got the right to express it. I will boycott his restaurants as a sign of my disagreement, but I love the fact he and I CAN adopt contrary opinions and express them. I guess my point is: Lighten up Francis. |

Um, I'm assuming the "you" in your previous post is not "you" as in "me" but the "you" as in the masses of grumpalumps in those threads? To be honest. I think people make sport of picking apart arguements for sport. Seriously just trolling. I could REALLY be good at that. Ignore the intent and pick apart someone's words instead of the meaning and play the opposit. But I get no joy in that and it seems so petty. It's scary that could be some people's sense of achievement, to knit pick someone on the internet. To get self worth or sense of achievement by putting someon else down on the internet. Real life is so much better to me. |
