Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Election 2016 Originally posted by spudone As usual, all speculation. I agree Comey was out for himself. But the problem is that he just gave hints to the Republicans in Congress to get headlines rolling, with nothing substantive for Clinton to even try to defend herself. Especially since this isn't even Clinton's email. Also I have yet to see what was in the text of the warrant (anyone have a link?)
Edit: the original search executed on Weiner's computer was because he was suspected of being involved with someone underage. If that warrant was specific to him (which is usually the case), then anything related to Clinton would have been off-limits. Which is why I am wondering how it was worded. Influence the election? He influenced the election when he came out and said HRC was not going to be charged with a crime. She was under criminal investigation. How is tell the American people she won't be charged not influencing the election? Why not just hold the declaration until AFTER the election so as not to influence it one way or another? But they did and they gave HRC a huge gift! Now her people could say, "See she did not do anything wrong!" Even though that is not what the FBI said. The FBI said we don't have enough proof to prove criminality. Period. They did not exonerate her as the left would have people believe. According to the FBI, they do not 'open' or 'close' investigations. They simply evaluate new information as it becomes available. So what they just did was retract their previous statement because the investigation still need to look at more information. Had they not given her a pass a couple of months ago they would not have to come back now and un-say what they said.....they'd simply be saying "we have not completed the investigation". Period. But they were being pushed BY BOTH SIDES to tell us what they found. So they did. And that is exactly what they did again on Friday. |

Pro 9391 Omaha, NE | Subject: RE: Election 2016 Some interesting signs of the HRC campaign going into panic mode and shutting down their corrupt apparatus. I spend a lot of time on Reddit and if you're not familiar with how things work there you basically post things and people up vote them or down vote them. The up votes rise to the top and the down votes get suppressed to the bottom. Anyways, Correct the Record (CTR) is a pro Hillary Super PAC that hires thousands of paid people to do nothing more than troll the internet and more specifically down vote anything positive for Trump (or anti-Hillary) on Reddit. There's been a running joke in the various Trump subReddits about CTR because every time a post gets to the front page it almost instantly gets over 2000 down votes to knock it off the front page. It's so obvious it's almost funny. Anyways, since the Friday bombshell it has all stopped. CTR has stopped trolling and down voting the internet and reddits front page is littered with pro-Trump posts because that's where the public is really at. The shell game the HRC campaign has been running is just amazing, but the house of cards is falling quickly. I just ordered some Wikileaks gear last night to support their journalism efforts. |

Oakville | Subject: RE: Election 2016 Originally posted by tuwood You are correct about the search warrant scope. The NYPD and NY FBI were going through Weiners computer with their warrant looking at his porn stuff. They then saw there were 650,000 emails on the computer (that's a lot of weiner porn) and noticed that several were to/from Hillary/Huma and contained something very damning. They took it to the boss and the evidence was so overwhelming that he knew that his only choice was to let the cat out of the bag. None of the reports I've read have stated that any of the emails were damning. Can you provide a link or are you just speculating? My understanding is that as soon as they found emails to/from Hillary/Huma, they had to halt their investigation as the warrant in hand did not authorize them to review any non-Weiner emails. As for the warrant issued this morning, they couldn't use the content of any of the emails in support of the warrant application because they didn't have authority to read the emails. The fact that there was the prior FBI investigation and that these new emails existed was the basis for issuing the warrant. |

Edit: the original search executed on Weiner's computer was because he was suspected of being involved with someone underage. If that warrant was specific to him (which is usually the case), then anything related to Clinton would have been off-limits. Which is why I am wondering how it was worded. Now you know that's not entirely true. I guess I have personally written 300 or so search warrants and been involved, in writing or execution, in more then that number, along with sitting on dozens of state and federal wire-taps. The first thing in the warrant would have been the item that they wanted to search....a home, car, whatever, or in this case, a laptop. The next item in the warrant is what they are searching for in that item......in this case it would be emails that were pertinent to whatever investigation is at hand. You can look at EVERY email in that laptop and only be required to stop reading when it becomes obvious that it falls outside the scope of your search. If, however, you come across an email that relates to ANOTHER crime, or the criminal acts of ANOTHER person, you are not required to ignore what you have seen.......although you may now need to acquire another warrant to read further. This is really basic stuff. On the drug wiretaps I used to sit on we were required to stop listening as soon as it became apparent that the conversation was outside the scope of our investigation......as always. However, we solved numerous crimes outside the scope of those wiretaps including murders. We simply had to acquire new warrants to spin off in another direction. We were never (nor would we be now) required to forget what we had heard while trying to determine if it was pertinent to the current investigation. As you know, you CANNOT get a warrant for a "fishing expedition". You must be able to state what you are looking for and your probable cause to believe it is there. If they get a warrant to pursue emails that involve Clinton......it already means a Judge has seen the probable cause statement and believes ...1. that the item may be there....and 2. that there is cause to believe a crime has been committed. |

But this is an off-topic internet triathlon forum not a criminal court of law.....so over-ruled and the speculation will be allowed. ;-) Seriously there is noting wrong with speculation. One might also speculate that there are no new emails that haven't already been seen. But that is highly unlikely. You don't have to read an email to draw conclusions. If in the course of looking for emails related to Weinner investigation you find 10,000 emails from Hillary what do you do? You stumbled on evidence to another FBI investigation. So you stop, and you go to the DOJ and request a warrant to search the Weinner's device for HRC emails. Speculation here.....maybe Comey did that and they said "No". So Comey blows the whistle if you will and lets congress know about the trove of emails. Kinda of hard not for the DOJ to not issue a warrant to investigate. Huma has been portrayed as 'trusted' aid. But I would not read too much into that. She works for Clinton but political types are like the mafia.....you never know when one will drop dime on you and you'd better be prepared. So the first thing they would do would be to mirror the harddrive so they don't overwrite space that contains deleted data. Then they would use forensic s/w tools to look for words in the endless string of 00000000000000000111111111111111111111s to find data that was deleted but is still very much recoverable. The scary thing is if you pc may have recovery patricians that writes copies of everything that happens on the computer. So the same email might exist 2 or 3 places on the machine. Very hard to get rid of. Hence programs like bleachbit to scramble every bit on the HD. If classified material is found on the machine, regardless of who sent it, Huma is likely in deep kimchi for not reporting it...as is the person who sent it. If classified material was found deleted on the machine she is in trouble. There are very defined process for dealing with spillage of classified data and Huma would know this....or at least signed forms saying she knows it. The sad thing is, Huma will probably end up in jail and Hillary will once escape the 'right wing persecution'. |

Take this with a big internet grain of salt, but I saw an "insider" report that it was Weiners computer but they had some sort of sync software that backed up their computer/mail data that backed up all her emails on his computer that were subsequently deleted on her computer before she turned it over. I could totally see with tools like dropbox, icloud, etc. that are pretty prevalent and a non-techie person could easily not realize it was even happening. In other words I half believe Huma when she says she has no idea how her emails got on that computer. |

That would be a problem.....but I've never heard of using a government email account on a personal computer though. Pretty sure if she was using a personal computer she was also using a personal email address. But this all goes back to the crux of the whole email issue...using a private email account to conduct government business. You are right, if she allowed AW to access sensitive government data she would be in trouble too. |

The other information is gleaned from various news articles and yes I pretty much read all of them. You guys see Carney and the WH distance themselves from this. It was almost awkward how they had nothing but praises for Comey and his integrity. (translated, Comey found some bad WH emails as well) kidding |

She's already been caught with over 100 and she's doing just fine. Everyone already knows who she is, this is nothing new. Sure, there's a few die-hard Hillary supporters who actually love the woman and refuse to accept that maybe she's just a wee bit dishonest. The rest of the people voting for her know she's a lifelong crooked politician, and still want her over the crackpot Trump. This election is not Trump vs. Hillary. It's #neverTrump vs. #antiHillary. And the Trump has consistently had a slight edge in being the more hated of the two. Plus, the electoral college works to her favor. New revelations might be enough to tip the scales to a Trump victory, but nothing short of an email where she's caught mocking the Benghazi victims or selling military secrets to the Russians would bury her. You want to know who will win the election, figure out who the Johnson supporters will vote for. Because it won't be Johnson. When it's all said and done, he won't get 2%. |

I would say the vast majority of Trumps support is from people who truly support him and love the guy. I'm absolutely in that camp and everyone I know who is voting for him really like him as a candidate. You throw that in with the minority that are antiHillary that truly don't like Trump and you have an unstoppable majority. All that being said, the new FBI revelation has effectively reset everything and is far greater than the investigation before. One of the number one google searches friday was "how to change early vote" if that gives you an idea. Several prominent Hillary supporters have already jumped ship and pulled their endorsement and she's in a complete free fall. If you truly believe that she can still win I don't really know what I can do to convince you otherwise. She was already toast before Weiner-gate and the baked polls were the only thing giving folks like you confidence. The polls were already unbaking themselves due to the election drawing closer to give you a better feel for where the race is at. Trump is up big in Florida, Ohio, Indiana. In a statistical tie in CO, PA, NC, MI, and NM. |

I agree with you on Johnson. The supreme court alone will keep people from throwing away their votes no any third party. I couldn't disagree with you more on your assessment of Trumps support. You ARE joking right? Tied in PA, MI and CO? NM has almost no data to report (only 4 polls total, Clinton up by like 9, so not sure how you know that) Michigan??? LOL. Here is every poll taken in MI as reported in RCP. She's already been caught with over 100 and she's doing just fine. Everyone already knows who she is, this is nothing new. Sure, there's a few die-hard Hillary supporters who actually love the woman and refuse to accept that maybe she's just a wee bit dishonest. I keep wondering where you run into all these Trump haters. We live in a state that will easily go to Trump....and when I hear true hatred for a candidate it is toward Clinton. I hear alot of "Trump is a knucklehead" or "idiot" or whatever.......but it's usually followed up with, "but I'm going to vote for him, because there is no way in hell I'm voting for that lying ***** ". Additionally, I see Trump to Clinton campaign signs at about a 5-1 margin......hatred indeed. I don't know who is going to win, but Trump's not going away.
