long rides...if you've done 35, and pace on the easy side, i bet you'll surprise yourself. get the calories in, electrolytes, and water (but also don't overdo it with any of the above ). if you can take breaks now and then, that's awesome. take that time to stretch a little, massage your muscles, and take in calories and water/drink. of course, here are my two big recommendations: bullfrog gel sunscreen & CHAMOIS BUTTER! cover all your skin in sun block, and smear your girl bits and the inside of the chamois of your shorts with a generous portion of chamois butter. bring some along in case you go to the bathroom, so you can add more.
