Let's go E2!

Just got back from the business trip...was able to get a few trainer rides in after the day's work.  Seems like it is impossible for me to be able to get out on the roads...the entire challenge is turning into a trainer ride.  Not complaining, it is making me have a connection with my bike every day and that is a good thing.

Can't believe we are in last place....I an sure it is just the other teams sand-bagging their original challenge goals .  I know we are going to finish strong so everyone pedal strong and often!

Just want to clarify; if we go over our stated goal, do we get credit?

We're just pacing ourselves to be ready for our amazing comeback win at the end!   I've got lots of big riding planned for the near future....i'm considering a tri at the end of august with a 20 mile bike leg....that's longer than almost every one of my training rides so I really need to be riding lots!

Nope! It means you set the goal too low...

Yeah, but that's a given. At my level, I'm NEVER riding enough!

I finally got in ride number 4 this morning - a full week after ride number 3.  Undecided

It'll be tight, but I can still get up to my goal of 12.  Never planned on being out of action for a week.  Frown

I have absolutely no idea why that posted......and twice, at that!

Sounds like everyone is in place to reach our team goal. Ride #5 in the books for me last night. Another (ugh!) trainer ride but did enjoy watching TdF while cranking away. Two road rides planned for this weekend.

Let's go, E2 !

45 minutes on trainer this morning.

Last place is not important, we are on track to make it as long as everyone keeps riding.

Woo Hoo!  2 Rides in a row for me!  Smile

That takes me up to 5, with no chance for a ride on Saturday - I'm heading to the IndyCar race at Mid-Ohio for Sunday.  After my bike lock fiasco and the hip injury, I'm now staring at 7 rides in 8 days - assuming I can get one in Sunday night.  As long as I alternate some long and short rides, should be able to make it.

Got my 4th ride in this morning.  2 hours, 29 miles with some pretty decent hills.

Sorry I've beens slacking on the team.  I had some tough times the last last week.

Great effort everyone! Two more rides for me: trainer ride last night (again watching TdF...what a motivator!) and short road ride this morning.

Finished 12 out of 21 last night.  Man, this is not easy.  On top of it all, my crazy unexpected schedule has relegated me to the trainer instead of the road.....I have so much darn respect for the guys on the Tour.  As I was spinning away last night, I was pondering why they don't have a women's division on the Tour.  Seems like the ladies could run the same courses and start an hour ahead or behind the guys.  Would give us twice the cycling to watch...

Go E2!

not sandbagging...only one ride was the minimum required all the rest were 30min-1hr. Just cause I met my goal doesn't mean I'm not riding any more-just won't count

Ten rides and done already. Well bravo. What took you so long?

Its nice you set yourself a low bar. Then again, ten could be huge for you, I don't know.

Now we can get back to riding.

mama's not done riding, just gotta rub some Barlow-goodness all over the board here. Yes 10 rides is huge for me, got the saddle sores where the sun don't shine to prove it! (no photos will be provided for proof though)

Congrats on meeting your goal and bummer about the sores...I think what my fellow E2 team mates are suggesting is that maybe you were able to make it more of a challenge and are selling yourself short.  We are all here to just help you push for the maximum.

Hey everyone-

Hope your weekend is going well.  I had another unanticipated rest day yesterday and am now one stage off my pace for 21 rides.  Looks like I am riding on the TdF rest day again.   Can't seem to get out on the road no matter what I try to do.  Trainer day after day is getting old.  Will try again tomorrow for a nice Sunday morning  hard hills ride.

Don't know about the rest of you but I think this is one of the best TdF in years.  Seems like every day there is a new stage winner or a close fight at the end.  Very inspiring.

GO E2

Well I've had a really rough week this week.  My adrenaline kick from my race finally ended and my motivation pretty much just died.  I've only gotten one ride in this week but I WILL be riding tomorrow.  (Please come yell at me if you don't see a ride in my logs tomorrow!)  That will bring me half way to my 10.  I WILL finish all 10 rides even if I have to glue my butt to the seat to do it!

I got to watch the tour for the first time on friday (not having a tv makes it tough...i've been able to see highlights online but that's it).  It really is AMAZING to watch!  Those guys are incredible!  And I love our jerseys!  I could find "us" in any crowd!

This was a slow week for me as well, but I'm still on pace to meet the goals.

E-E has just been waiting for the Pyrenees to starting putting the heat on!

Good morning, team. Reporting 9/12 rides completed. Great effort, all....keep it up and we'll make that team goal!

I am going to do a trainer ride tonight while watching the Tour. Our orange guys looked good yesterday (and are easy to spot!)

Go E2 !
