ebshot - 2009-07-13 8:20 AM No swimming for me either.  I have pink eye.  Ewwww!  That means no contacts for me.  I HATE wearing my glasses.

Erica,

Hope that pink eye heals up for you.  I am contemplating contacts again so I can wear some cool shades (sounds pretty vain huh? )

And I am contemplating getting cool shades with prescription lenses!

I have looked into that but for Oakleys you are looking at $350 or so.

Do you have a line on less expensive ones by chance?

I have just started researching...I will let you know if I find a good deal.

Enjoy your rest day today Stacie!

I have an hour on the drainer since I can't ride outside w/my glasses.  They fall off my face when I sweat.   So, I'll ride while watching the TdF again.  Fun times!

I might have to break down and *gasp* go to the doctor soon.  I cannot shake this cough/sore throat.  I have had it for weeks.  Hoping by tomorrow it'll be gone but if not, I'll be headed in.

Thanks Rudy!  It's more annoying than anything.  Doesn't bother me unless I'm running or biking outside.

I got my trainer ride done.  I love the TdF.  It really makes the trainer bearable!

Our team won most aggressive today!  Yippee Skil Shimano is showing their stuff by the stage.  That is how we are going to stomp the challenge competition

Good stage today.  Hope you all get to watch it!

thoroughly enjoyed my rest day, thank you very much.

dropped off my kids at their various asundry summer camps....

went to the fancy dancy grocery store, only to find that they were out of the almonds they use to make their almond butter.  come back on thursday.

and then bought a basket full of produce at our local farmers market.  i heart local farmers market produce SUCH a constrast to the sucky produce you get at the grocery store.  YEAH FOR SUMMER!

and then picked up my middle son from math camp and we went to the pool

i lazed about.

my house looks like ive been goofing off all day.

and my body thanked me for the day off.

back at it tomorrow.

super long swim.  48 mins.  WOOT.

then a group ride on Thurs.  this is a group from meetup.com.  not a superfly rider in the bunch.  we gabbed the whole time we ride.  yeah!  were riding 8-10 miles through the streets here in my suburb to the bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube.  you should see this place on Thurs eve.  100+ motorcycles.  throw in a Starbucks Chocolatly Chocolate Chip Frappucino w peppermint syrup, and i'd say thats SOME evening.

aint summer grand?

HAPPY HAPPY!

Morning guys.  Since I am a total flake and apparently can't read a calendar or keep track of the days, I did today's ride yesterday.  So, I have another ride to do today.  Oops!  Oh well, more T.I.T.S for me!

Off to take my kiddo to OT.  Good times!

Stacie,

I avoid Lake Erie at all costs.  They close the beaches around us when it rains too much because sewage gets in the lake water - yummy

Are you doing it in Erie, PA (cannot remember the name of the park down there ).  Maybe the water is nicer further south in Lake Erie.

Guess I am weird like that

sewage.

yay.

my kind of swimming water.

OI ME.

the tri is in Huntington Beach/Bay Village area, right outside of Cleveland...im thinking the water quality cant be any better THERE as opposed to Erie, PA.  yikers.

its not a definate race for me anyhows, and if the weather is crappy that weekend, im not even gonna bother.  a friend of mine lives in Cleveland, and he and i thought about doing it, just for 'kicks'....

the chance of sewage, doesnt make it all that promising though, i have to say.  guess im weird like that too....

thanks for the heads up (or is that a flush down.  LOL)

the bike parked in the garage, it was a nice 48 min swim.

i did a 100, 200, 400, 600, 800 ladder, then it was just various usundry 100s to fill up the time.  lost count of the number of 100s i did after i finished the 800 rung, so guessing on the final yardage.

going out for a group ride tomorrow w a fine bunch.  were heading to the Bike Night at the local Wing joint.

GOOD TIMES!
