Halelujah !!! Thanks for the help with the special login to the spreadsheet. I didn't know the super secret code before. Worked like a charm, I am now in.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wondered what my problem was (at least in this situation).

Now all I have to worry about is biking and not entering data.

I'll be on the bike tomorrow due to the snow.

Hey Angels

Hope everyone is doing well . I took advantage of a light schedule this week to
ride long today as i knew i would not be able to saturday or sunday . I followed the course from the amgen stage 7 and found a groove despite the headwind and the mostly uphill course . I turned around after 27.5 or where the Acton sprint bonus was. Thats about 1600 feet of net climbing over the distance . After a well earned refueling stop at 7-11 . I literally flew back home. With all that very fast downhill worked on my aero position .

Good weekend everone

Sounds like an awesome and fun ride!

& KathyG - tough ride, keep climbing and be so ready for IMLP.

I did another 30 min ride today for a total of 4 rides and 2 hours this week so far. I know my goal is small 8 hours but I am working back into biking after almost a complete year off so I am starting small. I am traveling the last month of March to Alaska to work but I will have a bike available (probably trainer) but I am right on target to make goal with plenty of room if we get to up our goal like we could last month.

Keep it up everyone. We are doing great.

Stacie

Stacie...2 hours this week after not riding for a  year rocks!

 Keep up the consistent training

O2BFast - 2008-03-06 9:42 PM Today was the fastest swim I have ever had for a 1000m swim. I guess that Master's class is paying off. Also, I got in 1 hour on the trainer - 17.2 miles. Did some single leg drills which dropped the overall pace.  Lookout spring, here I come..... Mike

Single leg pedaling is great but for me takes lots of concentration.

How fast was your 1000 meter? Excellant to make a PB..yep Masters seems to be working for you~

There is a spike at mile 15 that goes up to the tunnel which to me is the toughest climb until past  Acton .    Down in my  Lowest gear , feeling  the burn .   After the tunnel (mile15 or so)  the climbing is undulating but less severe .  Its in a  steep canyon and very rural  .  Speed on the return trip was sustained at 32-34 mph for long stretches  with some bits at 40mph .   I tried this ride last weekend but was blown back early by  the severe wind .

Hey everyone, we are working our way towards the goal.  With just over 25% of the month done (at least by midnight) we are nearly 21% of the team goal - that with a couple of folks who haven't found their bikes yet.

Clocks change tonight, so for those of us with "normal" work schedules, that opens up more evening time to get outside.  Let's build, have fun and be in position for a great season!

I looked through the thread quickly and can't find the link to update my mileage. Could someone do it for me or put the exact instructions for me...

5h 33m 47s  - 90.21 Mi for the month so far out of 400 miles

Riding with CT BTers tomorrow but only 30 ish. Monday another brick of 45 miles then we go on a cruise and will sadly not ride for 5 days. I did get my plan from my coach for the rest of the month and I should be able to hit 400 miles if weather is good.

Saturday was 1 hour 30 minutes on the trainer. Focusing on getting back in aero position for longer periods so I will be ready when our 20 inches of snow melts.

I also got my strength training in afterward by shovelling the driveway.

We are still under a level 3 snow emergency here in Ohio, which means I'm stuck at home again today. For anyone who doesn't know what a level 3 emergency means. It basically means stay off the roads or the police can ticket you if you are out.

Probably will get in some more time on the trainer and treadmill to break up the day a little bit.

I am excited though that we "sprang forward" today. That's a good sign of spring. More light in the evening is awesome - more time for biking !!!

Have a great day everyone !

So I've been incommunicado for awhile because I was embarrassed -- couldn't or wouldn't get out for a ride for over a week.  I got a few trainer rides in, but that's not appropriate for Florida.

Anyway, I finally did hit the road today, and boy did it feel good!  Had some adventures, though, including running into a group of soldiers (with guns) -- actually, they never turned around so I hightailed it out of there before they saw me.  Before you start wondering, though... I ride on a military range and they were probably national guard troops training.

I found my bike! I found my bike! I slacked on my half mary training (early tapering, ha!) and went ona 22 mile ride this afternoon. It was COLD. I really should have worn another layer all over. I was slow, and boy, there are a lot more hills on that road than I recall.... But I got out there. First time in months. My butt doesn't hurt yet, but I bet I will be reminded tomorrow.

Way to go everyone.  Let's launch from here for a fantastic month!

Remember, those of you with a run focus this month, that time on the bike is a good - low impact - fitness enhancer

Hi Angels
Sounds like we are off to a good start. I could not get outside over the weekend but hopefully I will after work today. The weather and a party Saturday night limited my abilities on Sunday.
Good job everyone !!!!

Hey Angels!

I vote we start calling Peto Primo Charlie

Anyway, I am BACK in business! Moving is done with the hard part and I'm back at home where my bike is, so I can start getting some miles in. My new place has good bike and running trails, so I'm excited to get going on them. My bike is going to the shop later this week for a tune up (learning on the clipless pedals and a few falls and it's acting weird) but in the mean time, I'm back in for stationary and spin class miles!

And you guys ROCK!  I'm so impressed with the riding so far this month by everyone!!  Go team

Gad I actually skipped a bike workout today...so rare for me as I love to ride.

We have company and leave for a cruise Thursday am and I've got a gazillion things to do...skip what I'm good at and practice what I'm not so good at.

Tomorrow I have my brick..either 45 mile ride/3 mile run
or if inside 45' ride with intervals/run 1.5/45' ride with more intervals/run 1.5 miles/ride 60' with varying cadences..either one will get mileage in.

I won't be riding again until next Tuesday..I may go through serious withdrawl

Ride lots Angels...pick up the pace..being close to BOP isn't so fun
