Stage 5 done this morning! I have 5 more stages and 146.99 miles to go (goal 300 miles). I'm somewhat tapering this week, but think I should be able to get in another 60-70, then will have to step it up the following week! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

wow, I don't think i could ever bring myself to go to a bar in a tri-suit. I guess it might be different for a good looking woman than a man. Probably comes off a bit different lol. And yes, i've done countless research on the benefits of post-workout fermented beverages and it does seem to work wonders for around 12 hours.

Another note, I finished stage 3 today and going to buck up and do a brick tomorrow (30-35/9-11)

Keep chugging guys! (and girls)

I hope you meant keep chugging on the miles and not the beer! I memorialized my tri/bar stop with a photo in my blog. It's good to be a regular, the people are much more forgiving. I stopped in yesterday after an OWS still wet and looking like something that washed up on the beach! Only I drank just water then. With all the training these days, I feel like I live in tri gear!

I'll be testing out that fermented beverages theory after my oly next Sunday

Ha Ha Ha!  That's so true regarding being a regular at a local bar.  We runners always go into the bar looking pretty nasty.  They have a mug club.  All of us have our own mugs.  (Mine is "Hooter" btw.  Yes, it refers to owls!)  I havn't been in there for awhile.  I wonder if they miss me?

Lets keep going guys, i'm gonna try to nab a stage tomorrow if i can get my swim done before 2pm and its nice outside... probably a slow 35 miler.. if i do end up going. ( in retrospect i wish i had set less goals b/c i have to average 32.5 miles every ride and am too lazy to bag big ones (maybe a big one wednesday))

I just entered my week one results.  There is a chance I get out and ride tonight but it's unlikely.  I'm at 36%.  I have a light training plan this week since I am supposed to taper for Sunday's race but I'll get out there and grab some T.I.T.S!

Great job everyone.  There is no doubt we get over 100%!

Week 1 is in for me. I'm at 50.50% of goal. This week will be light since I'm somewhat tapering, so maybe two easy rides plus my race distance. I'll kick it back into high gear during week 3 and intend to meet my goal 100%, even if it means I have to ride every day!

With what is entered so far, we are looking really strong!

I should have one more stage and 12 more miles to enter tonight, but at this point our team is over 40%.  That is pretty good for week one!

Great job on week one guys!!!  I slipped in one more ride tonight for about 29 miles.  That puts me at about 37%.  I know I'm lagging a bit but don't you worry, this will be a big week for me.  Best of luck to everyone in the new week.

I would kill for a garage that big and clean!!  My garage is attached to a hundred year old house so the garage will fit a buggy...maybe.

This was the last day of week 1 for the challenge!  We did a great job!  I went ahead and updated the spreadsheet for Breezy since she is in the midst of moving.  Make sure your numbers are correct on the spreadsheet.  If you need to make an adjustment, it will be reflected in the week 2 totals.  We are over 50% as a team!!!  We rock!!!!  Keep up the great work!!!!

Hey everyone. I did Stage 6 today, but it was only 15 miles since I'm tapering (Tapering = Misery). Does anyone know if we can do more stages than originally committed to reach mileage or minutes? For example, if I have to do 12 stages to hit 300 miles, will that still count as 100% even though I only committed to 10?

I'm worried that this taper week (I have another dinky ride coming up, plus my race) is going to make it hard for me to hit 300 with just 10 stages. But don't worry, if I have to ride 40 or 50 in NYC I will, it will just be the most boring ride of my life!

No worries about doing more stages than you anticipated.

I would be terrified to do a ride in NYC!!!!!  I ride on the freeway around here but the shoulder is pretty big in most places!  I'd be freaking out in a big city!

OK, guys I'm back from lots of sleeping and hydrating from a bachelor party this weekend.  I got in a great workout but a small ride.  I have race this weekend so no real long rides.  But next week I am going to burn my wheels right off!

I finally have a shot of me on the bike, from my first tri a few weeks ago. My husband didn't turn out to be a reliable race photographer so I had to wait for the official photos. I look so serious. I think I was still amazed I survived the swim!
