Nice!

I'm confident with the miles--only 45 out of 350 to go . . .
Stages on the other hand . . . I need to make sure I fit three more rides in!

WILL DO!!!

Yeah dude I'm in the same boat... getting the mileage won't be a problem, getting the STAGES will be though! I think with the way the challenge is structured I'll either have to ride 4 days in a row or do a couple two-a-days. I should have stuck with 10 stages

Keep it up dudes... KEEP IT UP!

Stage 18 in the bag (2:15:00!)

Still going strong, with a 3 hour ride planned for either Saturday and Sunday. I needed this longer ride today to make my time goal achievable.

Another stage logged this morning...

With 2 days to go:

Stages: 19/21 (90.5% of goal)
Time: 1178 minutes (86.3% of goal)

I am there. Unless the skies fall on me, I will nail both my goals for this year.

KEEP IT UP TEAM!!!

Covering 12 miles in a sprint today puts me nicely over my goal!

The TdF Challenge will be over soon. So how are you going to stay motivated NEXT month? Interested in another challenge?

There is a "Casual Challenge" planned for August. You can set goals for RUNNING and/or SWIMMING and/or BIKING and/or OTHER (strength, yoga, etc) and/or WEIGHT LOSS. (You may sign up for ANY or ALL of these goals.)

There will be no teams (unless we get a lot of people signing up, then I'll split the group). It's just a friendly challenge to help people achieve their workout and weightloss goals.

Click below to read about the August challenge, or sign up for it:

Three stages completed today, for good measure.

Hi Team,

Just a reminder this is the final day of the TDF challenge - I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves

There has been a little confusion over how the final results will be calculated so from the original thread with the challenge rules here are the details :

"The winning team will be determined by the overall % of goal amount of stages and % of distance/time achieved by the team. (each goal counts for 50% of your overall goal achieved)"

What this means is you cannot achieve more than 50% from with of your totals... I havent had any requests for clarification sent to me but i thought I better just remind everyone!

Results will be up in the next couple of days, so just make sure your team spreadsheet is up to date

Cat

From my blog tonight

Okay so I completely screwed up and thought that the TdF challenge went until the 28th but turns out it's over TODAY and I still had 1 more stage and 27.11 miles to go! Crap. I hopped on the trainer and tried to go as long as I could - put in The Emperor's New Groove and watched it all the way through and I was done. I can't stand the trainer for very long and I'm completely spent from the weekend's activities so I will have to settle for less than 100% on this challenge. Hope my teammates can find it in their hearts to forgive me!

I finish with 97.81% of goal.

Of course we will... We will simply say you were a domestic on our team, with the job of making sure we made it to the last day, even if it would mean sacrifing your own results!

Still a very solid performance my friend.

On my end, I already have a bunch of plans for my simulated TdF next year.

Just updated my logs & spreadsheet from this weekend: 100% complete! Actually, I went over on time (469 minutes, with a goal of 300). Glad to see so many of us were able to meet our goals. I already can't wait 'til next year!

Great Job, Everyone!

Hey that works for me! I know I could have banged out 30 miles today in this awesome weather we're having. Instead I'm going to take a well-deserved rest day [see my logs for details ]
