Thought I'd post my goals since it's just hours before the official start:

200 miles bike

4000 yards swim

25 miles run

These are just above my July numbers & I'm super slammed for time in August...so it will definitely be a challenge!

In 20 minutes I can start!  (actually, I think I'll go to bed

Thanks for the sympathy! Alas, I don't have a tub (stinks - no ice baths, either!), so no soaking. Plus, the fact that it is STILL spreading (yes, we are now officially a WEEK from first occurrence) makes me very leery to get into the water and spread it to, um, some other areas that it is so far avoiding, thank goodness. My face is now half numb, though. I'm heading to the ER once I can wriggle out of work. This is utter BS.

I'm pushing down the earth and running millions of miles in spirit, though! Think that'll win me my race?

Ok, rearranged my training schedule to include more swims since I havent done any in July-such a slacker. August is a busy month for me-out of town this weekend, internship ends, school start again, out of town later this month for my bachelorette party (spa here I come), a sprint triathlon in the middle of the month, need to order invitations and flowers, pick up my dress and order shoes, and I still haven't found a senior project or studied for the FE. Craziness.

August Goals:

Run-35mi
Swim-12 Sessions
Bike-100 mi
Other-4 Yoga/Tai Chi Sessions
Weight Loss-5 Lbs

Is it November yet?

Revising goals to factor in a week of vacation:

Swim 20,000 yds
Bike 465 min
Run 635 min

Will update the spreadsheet...

O.K., FINAL adjustment to goals to factor in vacation time (out of town):

(that's actually a good thing ) it probably won't be much, but maybe i'll take a quick run, or hop on my bike for a few minutes (i'm not over estimating either, it really will be for a few minutes)

good to see you again sal! haven't been on here with you since the days of the original nibbs thread!! LOL when was that anyway, january?? i can't even remember now it's been so long ago!

take care! I know how miserable you must feel! I had to have a friend who is a doctor come make a house call...and my ivy spread to those areas you speak of...you know where the sun don't shine! and it was not pleasant...so you take care...and do everything possible to keep it from spreading to you know where!!!! GOOD LUCK! lots of dry healing thoughts heading your way!!!! HEAL FAST will ya!?

well, i was going to go out for a quickie, but ended up going farther than i had intended! hooray for the new bike! i really gave it a workout too! i rode 6 miles (which may not sound like much to you bike people, but on my old mt bike, i don't think i'd ever gone that far except when i was in a race, AND AND AND it was a HUGE uphill!! i figured out the gears! i gave the brakes a hardcore workout on the way back! (yahoo! except i got a little freaked out!! LOL)
i didn't know it at the time, but ds snapped a pic of me just as i was leaving the house, so i actually DO have one photo! (because true to MY nature, i forgot AGAIN! LMAO)
anyway, it's loading up now, i'll stick it on here

Made my first small dent in my bike goal- 25 minutes - and I planned out which days I can fit in open water swims. I may be in trouble there as there are only 4 possible dates this month, and 4 is my goal.

Off to a tempered start...
