I hate doubles b/c of all the time conflicts people have and you're dealing with FOUR people instead of two... gets a little stressful. NOthin' wrong spending your rest day with the kids... remember playing IS their workout |

I'm SO jonesing for skiing..... I am sooo not looking forward to the snow! Possibly as early as this weekend, but with all the warm weather that we've had, it won't stick... yet. Well, I had a good MTB ride today with Trixie and her friend Zak. We spent some serious energy maintaining speed on this course at Sleepy Hollow State Park (MI). Felt the burn for sure - in my legs, lungs, all over. We rode for a bit more than an hour and covered 10.5 miles. Great workout! |

I'll also be going for the point after. Keep up the good work Air Wingers! Don't forget to update the spreadsheet and if you have questions about how to do this PM me. While you're at it, keep up your BT Training Log with your workouts. Week one is almost done (Tomorrow). Let's get those number up! Do you all want to attempt any planned workouts / goals for our team? Say 2 days next week we all do a specific workout on a specific day? Like Boot Camp from across the world. If anyone is interested I'll set up a 30ish minute PT style workout. Basics: Push Ups, Sit Ups, Squats... you could call it calisthenics - "Cali Day" Remember: The only easy day was yesterday! |

You all name it and I'll try it. I don't think I am in the same league as you all fitness wise, but heck, I'll try most anything. I am 5 for this week so I'll go for 6 tomorrow. |

The only league that counts for this competition is the one that we are already in... together! We are the Air Wingers!! 30 Minutes a day! I'll work on getting something set up - sit ups, push ups, squats etc. No weights for Cali Day - body weight only. Cardio first then Cali's. We'll keep it to a 30 minute workout. You can make adjustments to the workout to make it work for you. Put forth your best effort and the time is what matters.

( Maybe I’ll just run with the team or after practice on the track) Thanks for the prayers for the cat, he’s doing much better…they put in a feeding tube and he should be out of ICU by Sunday.
The Wii Fit is great, I use it for the yoga and bodyweight strengths. Of course it will never take the place of a workout but I like it as a nice little “tool” and if you have kids I defiantly recommend it, its fun with the kids.
Glad to hear about your cat! We have a Wii and we love it. We don't have Wii fit though... |

Extreme Veteran 557 | Subject: RE: Air Wingers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Today was a crazy crazy but great day, found out the little guy can come home Saturday just in time for the LSU / Bama game. Also, have 5 workouts down for the week....tomorrow will count as the extra point right? I like this M-F thing, I play with the kids at recess and they think its so funny that a teacher plays soccer with them ( I teach kindergarten) so by the time I get home I already have 15 minutes down. Great job all and I hope everyone has a great weekend. GEAUX TIGERS BEAT BAMA! Edited by LSU25 2008-11-06 5:50 PM |

Extreme Veteran 506 Lake Placid, NY | Subject: RE: Air Wingers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge 20 minutes on the seated stepper working on range of motion and 10 minutes of upper body gives me a 4th workout for the week. Should be able to get to 6 by Saturday (we get Saturday, right?) Either way I will get 5 tomorrow.

Veteran 285 indian land, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Air Wingers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Sorry I've been AWOL from the forums for most of the challenge...I've managed to log at least 30 minutes doing something everyday. However, I managed to jack my leg up pretty bad a couple weeks ago running a 10k. That being said, my workouts for this month may look a little odd as I work around my injury. Back to the doc tomorrow for my leg. |

Veteran 157 Rainy WA | Subject: RE: Air Wingers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hi folks, I haven't been around for a couple of days because I'm fighting a cold. But I did get in a 30 minute walk yesterday and today. One good thing (well, sort of) is I've lost my sense of taste. I just might lose some weight with this cold! It's no fun to eat if you can't taste. I'll try to catch up on the messages tomorrow.Mary |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Air Wingers Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge That looks great for a cali day. I'll modify mine for the ab workout I already do and the 100 push up/ 6 weeks challenge that I am working through. I also have to modify for no machines so I use weights at home. This should be interesting. Everyone is rocking this challenge. It is great to be part of. I will be away from the boards this weekend- I have a memorial service to go to. Hopefully I will get something in training.
