Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! I am using Jorge's week 2 Q2 ride in spin class tonight. Playlist as follows: WU1(approx 15 min): Kryptonite/3 Doors Down 95-100 rpm, What More Do YOu Want?/Plain White Ts 70-75 rpm, Come Out & Play/TheOffspring low 80s rpm-As 1st 10 minutes then: 7 Minutes In Heaven/Fall Out Boy & Hypnotise/TheWhite Stripes both 90-95rpm for 5 minutes of 30" intervals in warm -up Main Set: Train Kept Rollin'/Aerosmith 95-100 rpm for 1st 5 minutes, Back In the USSR/Beatles mid70srpm for recovery then Time the Avenger/The Pretenders 85-90 rpm for 2nd 5 min. Next 13 minutes as:Reelin' In the Years/Steely Dan 70-75 rpm, Steve McQueen/Sheryl Crow 85-90rpm, Fly Away/Lenny Kravitz low 80s rpm & Not Fade Away/ Rolling Stones 95-100 rpm to finish. I have to vary the cadence a bit or my class would totally rebell. Cool Down: Dirty Little Secret/All-American Rejects mid 70s rpm & Casino Queen/Wilco mid 60s prm I am planning to do the 20 minute time trial Week 3 Ride on Thursday. Play list is almost done and has a mostly urban/latin flare. Will post in early AM. |

Just post your trainer time in your log like you just did...I'll keep checking the logs and updating the spreadsheet, that way all you have to do is ride and I'll take care of the rest!! Nice job with the 45 minutes...it WILL get easier!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! maggie-mae - 2008-12-01 6:23 PM Thank you, thank you to all and to Max for thinkin up this challenge! Today was a trying day and after reading your posts...........I got my A*% on the trainer for a 1 hour ride. Wouldn't have done with out you all! I'd still be sitting on the couch eating HoHo's. I took a mental note of my starting weight but for now, that will be between me and Tanita.......lol! Cheers! If I accomplish nothing else but generating posts like this, and seeing someone get on the trainer and feel good about themselves, then all the work that it will take to track the mileages this month will be worth it. Nice job doing what you didn't want to do. Each day you'll not want to do it a bit less, and by January you'll have an awesome block of fitness to build from!!!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! OK I got my pathetic 25 minutes in, and I spared the neighbor dog by riding to Sammy Hagar instead of Yanni. LOL I need to change my saddle, it feels like I just rode a stage of the Tour de France, sitting on a concrete block!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! OK I've re-sorted the spreadsheet to get everyone in alphabetical order, so it's easier for me to find people. Here's what I've got for the day so far. Any time during this month, if you notice an error on your totals, just let me know and I'll correct things. I was a math major in college about a million years ago so I've got half a fighting chance of keeping all this straight. But errors sometimes happen!

I have big hard all out 100% like I'm going to throw up testing tomorrow and need to keep my legs ready for that. Max, how about setting up the spreadsheet on google so we all can enter it directly on the spreadsheet? I don't know how to do it but others that have run challenges I'm sure could help us. |

I had thought about that, but not sure how to do it. is it any easier? the only problem comes with the calculations required for the bonus point system. I'm not sure I have the ability to program a spreadsheet to do that automatically. I actually don't mind visiting everyone's logs a few times each day and grabbing the results and doing the number crunching. Let me see how it works out and I'll talk to someone about it.

Great job getting up and on the trainer EARLY! My alarm goes off at 4:25am but if I got on the trainer, my BF would come and kill me!! I am not even allowed to hit the snooze button!! So I sneak quietly out of the house to the gym or pool! But speaking of riding in the dark...I ride in the evening and don't have any curtains on my big bay windows and I am scared people can see my fat a$$ on the trainer sweating in my sports bra and shorts! Oh...and I am NOT posting my weight...although I did weigh myself....made me realize why I will be on the trainer once again tonight! |

It's easy to miss things, what with watching over 40 logs so any time you notice an error, don't be afraid to point it out. And yes, every minute counts so take credit for them all!
