Master 1529 | Subject: RE: Hot Toddies So I met another mom at McD's for lunch cuz her and I are in charge of our girls "winter party" at school this month. We had to come up with a bunch of ideas/crafts/games for 21 kindergardeners to do for 45 mins. We then have to get all the supplies and what not. We only have $17 dollars to work with. Let me tell you, trying to buy supplies for crafts for that many kids with only $17 is not easy. I think we have things figured out but it looks like hubby and I are going to be giving alot of time and things we have here at our house in order for the kids to have some fun things to do. Not complaining about that, its just a bummer that everything costs so much these days. One little pack of foam stickers is like $3-4. Crazy!!! ok sorry rant over. So what did everyone have for Lunch? |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: December Pick-A-Challenge TEAM 2 runnerx - 2008-12-01 8:53 AM I got a great name for our team - How about "Life really sucks right now". I was on a high there for a while as I trained for NYC Marathon. Didn't do what I wanted in the race, but had the most fun ever in a race. Thought I took things easy, but then a couple weeks later got that knee irritation that I previously mentioned and haven't run a step in a few weeks. And that's usually my psycho-therapy. Although, it appears I can cycle ok. In fact, I bought a new Cervelo P2C Saturday. I needed some type of relief from the soap opera drama in my life. I had been seeing someone for quite some time but we broke it off. I then started dating another woman, but she had issues with my previous girlfriend, so that ended. And I was ready to just commit my life to my kids and my upcoming Ironman. But then girlfriend #1 re-appeared in my life and seemed to have interest in getting back together. I had to consider that, and I finally decided I wanted to go for it and figured out what I needed to change in order to make it work. But, now gf #1 tells me she was just being "friendly" and to top it off, she's started dating gf#2's ex-boyfriend. I feel like doo-doo because I re-opened my heart and got it ripped to shreds. And that's just the high level summary!! See...I told you I need my running as therapy. Gee, thanks Walt, you're really making me look forward to being single again!!!! Sorry to hear about your knee, but if it makes you feel better, I have barely run since NYC either and I have NOOOOO excuse. Which P2 did you get - 08 or 09? |

The pantry is empty and the fridge and freezer aren't too far behind! That is on tomorrow's list of things to do! |

So what did everyone have for Lunch? Too much chili. Now I have to wait longer before getting on the trainer. Now that I think about it maybe chili wasn't such a good pre-workout choice....hmmmm. $17 for 21 kids? I'm no math whiz, but that sounds darn near impossible. Glad you figured something out. |

I myself just got out of a long term relationship about 3 weeks ago. I'm trying to fill the void with training but the motivation has been a big issue. Maybe I need to go out and buy myself a new bike too....... Hope things pick up for you. BTW what Ironman are you doing next summer? |

Master 1529 | Subject: RE: Hot Toddies Yeah hubby is good with wood, so he is going to cut out stars and trees that I can make into ornaments for the kids to decorate, I found bingo cards online that I can just print out and I think we are going to get individual bags of M&M's or skittles for the kids to use as markers. I'm going to print out x-masy coloring pages and a simple word find. We're going to get brown lunch bags and decorate them like rudolph and then at the end they can use those bags to take home ornaments and goodies. Hopefully this all will go well. Have a week to get it all worked out. FUN FUN. |

Which P2 did you get - 08 or 09? I got the 2008 - which I think is same as you, right? From SBR - they were having a huge discount sale. I got the last one. They did have a P3 too. After all this relationship stuff going on, I probably should have bought the more $$$ one. Ahhhh, who am I to kid, the P2C is the better value. |

Isn't it funny how going to work tends to increase the amount to free time you have for the internet? I decided to start off the challenge with a bang and got good and sick. Awesome. I'm hoping to be semi-back to normal by tomorrow and back to the workouts by wednesday. |
