Slugger - 2008-12-12 1:33 AM Don't forget to update those spreadsheets by the end of today!

Just looked at our spreadsheet and we're a little low on overall percentage.  Can everyone check their totals?

I updated mine today. Are they considering the midpoint after the second week? Or after the midpoint of the month? So in a few days...

I wasn't sure about that, so that's part of the reason I wanted to make sure everyone's totals were up to date.  A lot of the goals aren't things that are logged in training logs, so it makes it harder to go back and check

I did well last night. I'm feeling like I'm getting a handle on after dinner eating. Great Christmas present to myself! I'm so grateful for the challenge and support, fellow dancers!

Friday ended up being an eat-anything evening. I was away from home and really thought that would make it a shoe-in to count toward my 20 good days. Not quite.Embarassed Last night went fine. Verdict isn't in on today yet. I hope everyone is doing well.

In the midst of power outages, internet interruptions, and ice storms extraordinaire, your fearless challenge leader plunges on, tackling the excruciatingly important task of...

THE WEEKLY STANDINGS
*cue ominous music*

With 39% of the month gone, our valiant reindeer are fighting blinding snow, record temps, and gorgeous sunshine to battle it out for the top of the standings. It is a close battle, each team buoyed by powerful members and weakened by a few. And here, the moment you've been waiting for...

1st: Vixens, with 39.45%
2nd: Dancers, with 36.90%
3rd: Blitzens, with 33.82%
4th: Comets, with 29.28%

Next week will be especially exciting, as those who haven't reached 40% by Friday are grounded, and must watch their teams fly off without them. How will the standings change? How will our reindeer cope? Will the Vixens finally topple?
STAYED TUNED FOR ANOTHER EXCITING INSTALLMENT!

Okay, that answers our question from the other day. Thanks, Slugger!

All right everyone, you heard the woman - 40% by Friday!!!! I am getting in another ride tonight, hopefully tomorrow and then again on Thursday. That should definitely get me to 40%.

We're not too far away from 40%.  If everyone can get in a few more workouts (or whatever) before then and make sure that they are logged in the spreadsheet, we should be fine.

Just to clarify the 40% rule, that is for individuals. So if a particular individual is not at 40% by Friday, they are dropped from the team. That's to make it more fair for all the team members busting a move to get to their goals.

Morning, Team! Have we been logging? Don't forget, you MUST update the challenge spreadsheet before Friday if you don't want to get dropped.

Morning, Team! How's everyone doing? I was going to ride the trainer last night, but finished the christmas cookie-making, watched Kona (again) and went to bed early to get up for swim practice. I have group trainer ride tonight with the tri team. I'm also already at 40% and will be off for the rest of the month starting on Tuesday, so will have plenty of time to ride and meet my goal

I'm still on track, logging my food and being careful about what I eat.  Even down 5-6 lbs now for the last 3-4 weeks!  Have been avoiding all the food delivered to my office like the plague - and so far so good!

Have a great weekend!

Evening, Team. My grandfather died today, so I may have to go to Michigan (ick) for Christmas (double ick). Which means, no biking while I'm there. Not sure what the plans are yet; hopefully I won't have to go at all, but I will do my best to try to get in all the workouts. If I'm at my parents' house (in NY), I can just use their stationary bike - and I was only going to be there for like 4 days, and then come home on the weekend. So we'll see.

So sorry to hear about your grandfather.  Hope he didn't suffer.  Just do the best you can with your rides and don't stress.

No, I think it was fairly quick. He had been otherwise fine. But he was 92 - sad, of course, but not unexpected. He could have passed in his sleep at any time, really.
