I did my long run but it wasn't pretty. Details are in my logs for anyone who cares to share the misery. I actually got a little choked up when it was over because it was really that bad. At least it's done I guess.

Got a 1333.33 yd swim in today and a 4.13 mile run.  Neither where my best work, but I got them in.  This cold is still making everything harder than normal.

LazyMarathoner - 2009-02-09 8:28 PM Got in my swim and strength today, but not easily. My motivation was dead so I procrastinated forever, then finally headed into the city only to find out there was a pump problem and the pool was closed. I stood there for a moment and debated going back to Brooklyn and just forgetting it, but I had a swim time trial and strength training on the schedule and knew if I didn't do it, my coach would have to adjust the whole week. So I got on the train and went to another gym location uptown and did the swim and strength. It took far longer than I was planning, but it felt good to stick to the plan for once!

Hey, New Yawk Hawtie!  Whip this team into shape and get them a-postin'.

I'll be in NIBBS for a few minutes if you wish to drop in.  Ciao.

Darnit! I was online but not online you know? Shoot. I missed a chatty opp with Philthy My post count is suffering terribly.

Your post count.... There was a time not that long ago that we were neck and neck with post counts......

Yes, but then I started hanging out in chat and have had less post padding opps on my challenges. I'll pick it back up and looks like you have some catching up to do

You know given the right oppertunity I can chat up a storm

Took the day off and went snowboarding today.  This doesn't help with my goals, but I had a blast.  Decided I should have waited a few more days though, since this chest thing I have going still isn't kicked.  I am feeling much better, but it still hurts to do anything that requires higher heart rates and heavy breathing.

I have a lot of ground to try and make up.  Wish me luck.

Good luck!

Thanks

Had to take my son to the pool, couldn't make him sit through an hour so I did a 500 warm up then 20 x 50 on a minute, at least he could see my face for 15 sec of each minute... Better than nothing!

You are my hero, figuring how to get workouts in and spend time with your boy.  Gives me hope that I won't have to give up workouts once I start having children.

Does he swim with you or just watch? He's going to love triathlons with how much you include him in your workouts!

Yes, but when Marines go skiiing, they go uphill!  Downhill is for wusses!

Besides training, I haven’t been doing all that much, sad to say.  Nursing my injury, I suppose.  I start PT next week.

He swam after I was done, I have to video tape it, he swims with one arm and does a butterfly pelvis thrust to swim, he is my avatar, always smiling when he is in the water or on his bike, the run just like his mom will be the toughest for him!

Hi Kristen.  How is your evening???

Meh, just so so. I'm still not feeling great after my atrocious long run yesterday so my coach pulled my strength training today. I'm just wiped. You?
