Tam, thanks for the chart! I was going to try to do it tonight, but I've been so busy - popping in for about two minutes at a time to read a thread here and there. Grr, I hate it when I have to actually WORK at work!

Was this your first time commuting?
I just moved so my commute has gone from 2 miles to 6. I'm thinking about switching my commuter bike from my hybrid to my unused roadie. Sounds like a good weekend project.
First time at this job. I used to commute 10 miles one way when I lived in Washington
(I commuted all the way to
Idaho!
). I've been leery of starting up here - night shift, no roadie until a month ago
(though now I'm thinking I should switch back to my mtn bike!
), and being on SAR so needing to be close to my car and gear. Wouldn't you know it - we got called out last night! Sheesh! I told my leader, too; he laughed.
Anywho, my whole commute is 17 mi one way, but I'm working up to that. Weather will dictate if I do 5 or ten miles tomorrow
(tonight
).
Lucy, you in the PNW somewhere? Just askin', 'cause you mentioned IMCdA.
This is definitely not the chatty crew, but I kinda like it a little more mellow these days! As for not fitting in, that is the most awesome thing about challenges. Robert
(rlejeune
) has to get to 100% same as I do. He just has to do about eleventy bajillion more hours of training than I do to get there, but in the end, it is all who got closest to their own personal goals!
Speaking of, my goals were screwed up. With my brain all funky, not sure if I typed them in wrong, or counted wrong, or what. I think I've fixed them now, but they may adjust again. Don't worry, they got HARDER, not easier!
