Survived the Interstate Fair yesterday. After ice/heat/stretch, the hip feels better. I may have stretched and twisted it back in had almost no pain yesterday at the fair. It is not inflammed and pissed this morning, that is a good thing. BT PT guy gave me an interesting artice in my blog about my crank size. Hummm.

wow...good luck! toes/fingers are crossed for you...which I may say, makes it very difficult to run and bike with!

GO GET EM! does the swim happen at Zuma Beach?...and where does the bike ride go?...up Malibu Canyon or on Hwy 1? Totally jealous....what a gorgeous place for a tri!

Tapering week ...

what race you tapering for?

Malibu Triathlon this sunday ,   trying to PR the course

and maybe place too ..

The swim is at zuma  beach  with the  bike ride up PCH  to Leo carillo  north along the coast , there is not much climbing on the course so its pretty fast. The run is from Zuma south to point Dume along the beachfront , also    flat .

hoping you had a good race!!!??? sooo??? how was it? hope you have a new necklace this morning with a gold/silver/bronze medal!?? but if not...just had a good race and felt good about your finish....and hoping for some pics of your event...many many moons ago...I used to have a bf that lived across from zuma...the driveway right across hwy 1...his home was right next to Bill Cosby's sisters house...what a gorgeous area!

Hey Team! Did a 8km run in 30 degrees and a strength session today! So hot...I know I shouldn't complain because its going to be winter soon...but that seems a little extreme for Sept!

Tomorrow will be a bike session! I am starting to love my high metabolism...it is wonderful yay! I now fit into my pants from when I stopped swimming...I have been telling everyone today!

Hi Everybody!
Sorry I have been AWOL here. I was traveling labor day weekend and had a sprint last weekend and this coming Sunday too. Funny how races interfere with the training.;-)

I have gotten plenty of cycling in this month, I'm working on bringing up the running and swim (my YMCA pool was closed the first week of sept). My strength training class begins tomorrow, bike group begins thursday, run group resumed last night. I have signed up for a chi-running seminar for this month too.

I take this pretty seriously so I intend to be at 100% by Sept 30.

How can I get the cool Artichoke team list for my blog?

Hi Lisa....good job on all your training and commitment! How did you do in your sprint last weekend? did you do a race report? I looked but may have missed it!?

what race you doing this weekend?

as for the team chart...go back to the message it is in...and hit the quote button...copy and paste it into your dashboard (as BT calls it now) to get to the dashboard you go to settings...let me know if you need more direction...

LETS GO TEAM!!!

Where is everyone?? I asked the same question, I think they are sleeeeeeping....Did a dumb bike ride today. All I want to do is run, nothing else fills the bill. After a day from hell, I need a run, but I have other things I need to do...hummmm maybe I will sneak a couple miles in, under the clause I either run or be crabby. (dinner?? what dinner?)

Well, I did get a wee run in, felt great. The phone rang, neighbor girls came over...the children needed this or that...thank olly wog for headphones. I just said go away can't hear you. Woke up this morning feeling like a huge SLUG! Body heavy, just blah...I have a workout today, I may not do my scheduled routine, but just some arm exercises. I think I better rest the legs.

Yeah, the mood did not lighten...one of the supervisors walked in, I looked at him and said "just when I thought the day couldn't get any worse!" Yes I am still employed. I did burn off some steam lifting before I went to meet kids teachers. I just lifted, and did not do the 5 min cardio between exercises. I did lift heavy and am going to pay for that in the morning. I do not have to slither far, as I have a fun gym at home. Sometimes however, that is worse...they can always find me.
