Goal update
I'm at 27,270 / 30,000 yards swimming.  Should get over 105% after this weekend and next weeks masters classes.

I'm at 233.36 / 300 miles biking.  Weather permitting, I should get to 100%, if not 105% by next tuesday.

I'm at  66.74 / 100 miles running.  This is going to be tough.  I'll should get to about 86 miles by the end of this weekend...the last 14 might be tough to squeeze in next week mon-wed.

I made my sprint time goal...so that's at 100%

Overall, I should be at around 100%.

Great job!  Push that run but don't get injured Cool  We want to smash those bEASTies!!!

Yeah...Saturday and monday is normally my off days for running.  This satruday I plan to do a brick...45 mile ride, and just a 2 mile run...just to get used to that feeling of running after getting off the bike.  Then a long run of about 8-10 miles on Sunday.

No running Monday...and I usually do 5 miles on weekdays...so it's likely I'll only get to 96 miles.  I don't think those extra 4 miles are worth pushing.

I'm making a great big batch of energy bars.  This time I am adding millet too.  There will be some wee little crunchies...

Recipe by chance?

They're little tiny seeds.  Go raid your birdfeeder for some.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-25 1:48 PM I get to go listen to a 5th grade boys sex-ed talk - fun times!!! - LOL

My son didn't even want me coming but I have to - I told him we would go for pizza afterwards and I would correct all the bad stuff they said!

Just think it will be my first education in the subject and I am 43!  My parents did not do a real bang up job educating us

Is it just that generation or what?  My parents avoided that conversation as well.

Wildlife job.....

It's my parents fault that I got involved with wildlife work.   They were always taking me to the zoo and setting me in front of the TV to watch Mutual of Omaha and Nova and Nature.  Got my degree and started volunteering to get my foot in the door.  Ended up with jobs all over the country working with bears, mountain lions, deer, elk, various game bird species, and several different species of owls.  The work is physically grueling due to strange hours, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, ATVing, snowmobiling, not to mention the animals are trying to kill you (or at least gouge your eyeballs out) when captured.  I loved every minute of the work but I was getting tired of moving around all the time.  I finally met a great guy, got married, and parked myself in the last place I landed.  I did the work for 12 years.  I may go back to it when I'm done having kids and they are older.  Only time will tell.

Cool story... Amazing life experience.

just make sure that they are hulled before you eat them...if you get them with the little seed coat on it gets in your throat and gums like popcorn kernels...but they are a lot smaller.
